last christmas eve i was on shift for an IRT shout in Helmand Province Afghansitan..

Marine Mark Ormrod lost an arm and a leg when he stood on a land mine whilst on foot patrol..

i wish him and his family a happy christmas and new year, and to all injured or killed in the line of duty, or on operations this christmas..

well posted m8 its easy to forget i posted taking a light hearted look at xmas and my own feelings about it but it makes you think m8,there is plenty of people with real reason to be upset this xmas,and it is a time of year that makes people think and dwell on things and loved ones more

so i second you on that m8 even more so as in my opinion we should not even be there

Best thing about Christmas is going for a long walk on Boxing Day and stopping into the pub for a few liveners..

Seriously though, I like the day with the family but I am happy when they all bugger off home again.

My thoughts exactly our lads and lasses should not be over ther,they should be left to fight amongst themselves if thats what they want to do,whats it got to do with us english or the yanks,why should the familys of our forces have to cope with death of ther loved ones lost in a war thats not ours,get them all out of ther is what i say,if the afgans want to fight let them get on with it and when theve killed each other the world might be a better place,

I have to work an 16 hour shift tomorrow and back in boxing day for another 8 hours so dont really have anything to do with it, but seeing how people are over this period in shops and the miserable faces walking around i am kinda glad i am at work......
