Just as people will turn any story into a pro military stance, after all it was them that made their comments here first after all about the HEROS fighting for oUr country!
There are plenty of smack head squaddies in Afghanistan at the moment and theres been more than a few stories of british squaddies smuggling heroin into UK from Afghanistan.

Yea i dont agree with the media attention she has received she is just another smackhead. If it was a typical junkie from a scheme would these people be saying 'its such ashame' blah blah. I doubt it very much.

But she was known and loved by millions and millions of peeople world wide so obviously shes going to get more media attention than a scheme junkie. Her music has affected millions and millions of people all round the world in many different ways.
Anyway the press over the last few weeks have ben running stories about her being on the piss with vodka and nothing about drugs so maybe it was drink that killed her just like our HERO george best !

Maybe it might not even be a overdose as it has not been confirmed. The media are putting that across, but with her history of drug abuse its what everyone expects as it is a large possibility.

I think that someone stating that she id getting more media attention than dead soldiers is on topic as it is still about her also even if she did not die of a overdose drug comments are still on topic as that is the life she lead and also that is what is being currently published as her expected death. Someone else either any member of the public or the military smuggling drugs is not related to amy winehouse.

There was no mention of anyone deserving more media attention than anyone else. It was merely an example of where the media seams to prioritise things. As has been highlighted we're all human and make mistakes, it's just that some learn from them and some make mistakes that don't affect the innocent. Some people hold others accountable for their mistakes others look for an excuse to let them off, we're all different.

No one deserves to die before their time and everyone does things for their own reasons. The squadie may have been fighting for his country as he sees it or he could have been doing the only job he could get. He may even have been a war monger no one knows. Amy could have had mental health issues or just be someone who never gave a shi+ as long as she was pissed or high.

The final outcome is they're both sadly dead but I know which one has a family that could be proud of how they died.

I was never a big fan of Winehouse, but all the 'one less smack head, good riddance' comments are a little distasteful.

Over a million people die each year from smoking relating illnesses. When you hear about someone dying of lung cancer, do you comment "one less smoker in the world"? Similarly when someone dies of an alcohol related disease, or even from obesity due to a surfeit of fast food, do you scorn their afflictions and express smug satisfaction?

Also tabacco although harmful cannot be compared to herion, herion causes murder, theft, prostitution, it funds terrorism.... The list is endless.
