yeah i see your point re male doc and a nurse having to be present. do you have the right to know your docs sexuality??? tricky one
very true lainie it is a tricky one- should we have the right to know our doctors sexuality. Personally i think a lot of men would be uncomfortable with a gay man doctor poking and probing around in their nether regions. Would a female feel the same with a lesbian female doctor doing the same??.
many moons ago, i had a football related injury that was causing me to pi55 blood.
into hossy i go's. mr doctor man came round, grabbed hold of me phallus, strteched open me japseye and had a good look.
Now i dont know if he was gay or not (the kiss goodbye when he left should have been a clue)
but if he WAS then surely hed know his way round penis/arse related injuries more so than a doc who was up to his ears in muff every night?.
And IF the medical gays know penis and arse medicine better than yer hetero-docs, then i would want a gay doctor if me bits were bleeding again
Fave replies from various threads
1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate 2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about, 3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives
Personally I'd prefer a Doc to be gay if my arse needs looking at. He knows the pain that can be involved & will be adapt at making it less painful.
On a different gay tone, I used to work with a lad, Pattsy. He was a good lad & very open about his preferred choice in sexual partners...but not overbearing.
It would appear that I was his type. We both knew he didn't stand a chance. But that didn't stop me teasing the arse off him, I'd walk up behind him..reach around & rub & squeeze his nipples, run my nails down his stomach & over his outer thighs. Just as he was about to try & grab me I'd walk away saying 'I've lost interest now'.
It would drive him nuts, but his boy friend enjoyed it later on...

when us girlies go for smear tests i have to be honest and say its actually never crossed my mind if the doc/nurse is gay and to be honest it wouldnt bother me. however guys are diff and have a thing about gay men. they think a gay man would fancy them which isnt the case (no offence)
im sure the docs and nurses are 100% professional and would never ever do anything that would be regarded as offensive by the patient.

Its nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

It's just you mate.
I'm very comfortable with my sexuality. It's because of this that I can interact with gay men without cringing or covering my ass with my hand.
They know I'm straight, I know they're gay. Why should that stop me from acting the same way I do with my straight friends?
Although I have said that if I was to be turned, it would be Pattsy that turned me

About a year ago i had to see a doctor as i was bleeding from my back passage when i done a number 2. So off to the docs i went. Well he gave me the rubber glove treatment and it turned out to be nothing and soon cleared up.
I recently found out that the doctor who checked me was gay, and now i think i would not want him to do the same thing again if i was bleeding from back passage again. I think i would ask for another doctor. I have no problem whatsover with gay people but does this stance make me homophobic.
I wouldnt worry about it Johnboy. Doctors and Nurses see hundreds of stuff like this, be it ringpieces, knobs, muffs you name it. Its just a job to em, me mother had said it in the past (staff nurse for 40 odd years) and so has Mrs Pumpy (20 years).
Id only be worried if he'd tossed you off while fingering your chocolate starfish.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.
lucky you get too see a doctor!!! i phone for an hour solid in the morning and then when i get through for third time of being put on hold three times they tell all appointment's are gone!
IM SORRY but i will never have any sympathy for maggie thatcher .... the bitch
