we had a BMW x3 2.0 D in and the guy had not changed the oil in 80k miles, (since new),
WOW i have never seen so much heart disease in a new car.
This was the inlet manifold, i had to soak it in petrol for nearly 2 days

After a service the cars turbocharger failed 5 days later. I changed it , but its never been right, lack of servicing has gave this car chronic symptoms that will prob be with it for good

        thats an awesome photo.

'why' did the car come in and 'why' did turbo fail?.

Guessing it's an impatant E46 driver that has thrashed it and the oil via the breather has lost it's goodness

Lack of oil previously had worn the impellar shaft and it eventually siezed,
Funnily enough the guy brought the car in because he said it was making expensive noises, it was chapping its head off an was so down in power.
He was in the herald this week as well, for liquidating his company that he setup with a million pounds of our money, no wonder he took forever to come and pay his bill for the car
