    Time of Year for Robberies

it's that time of year again when robberies are on the increase. my friend's house and a dozen of his neighbours were broken into between five and six this morning.

so keep your doors locked, make sure your alarm is on and if you have a dog let it have access to the whole downstairs of your house, don't keep it locked up in a crate or one room.

seems to be mostly cash they are after; that and small portable items. he was lucky, his two dogs scared them off so they didn't get anything from his house.

Anyone that has moved into a house and not changed their locks is a prime target for a burglar. I was a Domestic/Commercial locksmith for 5 years after leaving the Forces and regularly got called to houses that had been burgled. The majority had only moved in a few months ago and there was never any sign of entry. Even if it belonged to an old granny change your locks. You can bet she has some Junkie in her family with a spare key.

Couple of tips. if you are out during the day, leave a radio on , in the evening a radio and an inside light,(not an outside, lot of people in ireland put on outside and leave it dark inside, invitation to to thieving baxters),
if you.re going for a few days make sure someone puts in bins, collects papers.I also have a few timer s to make lights go on and off at certain times and randomly
Dont post about going on holidays or going out for night on facebook.
Finally if you catch one of them dont bother with cops, kick 7 colours of shit out of them if you can.......

I always rely on lights and radio on timer/photosensitive switches, good locks and a high light with a motion sensor outside at the back.

I think alarms are a waste of time, people just ignore them.

Grizz's Facebook warning is very important. People give out way too much information about themselves these days.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

I've got a ADT galaxy panal fitted to my property.. we fitted it last year .. It has a built in dialer but for some reason it doesn't work with my virginmedia phone. ..

Will be keeping my eyes out but the chances of a burglar coming and someone in the house not being up is slim..

Im always falling asleep on the couch and wake up 1-2 am.. drag myself to bed and wake up at 5.. but in this time the lights are never turned off.. ...

Christmas eve i dont go to bed (pressies are stored across 2-3 houses beforehand)..

Its sad the things people have to do to protect themselves..

                    Thanks for the reminder

Get this!" said the bloke to his mates, "Last night while I was down the pub with you guys, a burglar broke into my house." "Did he get anything," his mates asked. "Yeah he did! A broken jaw, six teeth knocked out, and a baseball bat right square in the nuts! The wife thought it was me coming home drunk again! (and the dog helped too hehe)
