I'd make voting compulsory. It really annoys me the number of people who complain about the current government yet make no effort to go to the polling stations and actually do something about it when they get the chance!

If I thought by voting it would do something, I'd be delighted to. I'd support compulsory voting if there was a box to check saying "None of the idiots above"

ban the sale of tobacco products, then there will be no need for all the 'not smoking in public places' laws ...

that any person who wishes to stand as an MP, must hold some kind of qualification to prove they are fit for purpose.
the house on commons are still full of rich mummys boys who see politics as a hobby.
a lawyer, architect, accountant, teacher, all have to hold certain qualifications to do there jobs, so why is it different for our law makers.

Have to agree with that one too. It's shocking how many people ignore the smoking ban and it really annoys me!

Don't forget if you ban the sale of Tobacco products , where would the government get all that loverly Tax from , Increace VAT etc.

I would make it law that ALL companies can only pay bonuses relative to the companys success or failure, therefore banks would NOT be allowed to pay multi million pound bonuses to their bosses when they failed so badly and needed our cash to save them.

No doubt they would try to find a loophole and pay them in shares or such like, so in my law...all loopholes would be closed. If you fail to hit your targets...you get sweet FA.
