Where were you when the Goverment were shafting the Miners?

NHS- staff against reforms

Please support this plight to help NHS staff, certain companies are trying to alter original terms and conditions of care workers all around the country ... Cutting wages,and bullying them into submission in private supervisions, letters saying if they don't sign mew contracts then they will be fired.... Reforms to NHS should not come from baseline services care workers.
The problem is that efficiencies have to happen but the people in charge of making this happen are managers and they are not going to say their positions are not need therefore it gets passed down to frontline provision. Cheers Micky

or do you mean Arthur shafting the miners? I don't recall Arthur losing his job and pension, quite the opposite tbh.

Back on the subject, if the doctors and nurses don't want the reforms then the stupid government should listen, then again the government think they're right and after all they'll be funded by the companies that drop in and make even more money.

For an example of aftercare by private medical companies read the PIP fiasco and see how many private clinics are replacing free of charge.

Today could be the day that starts "the beginning of the end" of our Nhs!! And no-one seems to care much...well for anyone that didn't sign the petition or havnt voiced their concern then rest assured you will regret it!!

It's not all the fault of the public though Micky. I doubt many CEO's or board of directors signed the petition either. If the people in the top jobs can't set an example then who can?

It's no excuse but we're back in the "what's in it for me" and "if I'm getting f**k all then I'll make sure you get less" society which the conservatives seem to thrive in. Bunch of a$$holes, but people will forget when election time comes, they always do.

As for the NHS it will struggle, but survive as long as people who work there care enough to put in the time and effort. Totally unfair, but these things happen.

Yes the country will pay, as you quite rightly say - private companies are great at contract negotiation and it's whqt isn't covered in the contract which will cost. Private employers don't care about lives, they care about profit - it's why companies exist end of story. You only have to look at the mess over PIP with private so called health clinics to see what may happen.

Clinicians weren't given the choice but to manage the money, for good or bad, by the few that complied, most likely either because they agree or because they see an opportunity to make money hand over fist made sure there was no other option. The government decided that they had agreed and so that's how it is.

Private involvement will lead to some regrettable outcomes, but it will be swept under the carpet as these things do. I'll mourn the NHS as well.
