My opinion is that i dnt like it at all! my father had a heart attack because of it and a week in intensive care. Its the smoker who it harms and it harms the people around them especially young kids. Everyone in my family have tried it apart from me

Well i smoked for years, but packed in just before my youngest was born, and i haven't had one since.
My father was a smoker and he died of a heart attack just weeks after his 54th birthday. The doctor said his arteries were all clogged up due to smoking.
It never bothered me if people smoked around me but i wouldn't allow anyone to smoke in my home or car.Looking back now i think it's right smoking was banned in public places. Why should people be subject to passive smoking.
I do think it looks unsightly when you walk past a pub and theres lots of people standing outside having a smoke. And most pubs stink of sweat and stale beer now theres no smoke in the air.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

The section of the population that choose to enjoy smoking should not be demonised and marginalised by being threatened with legal bans. The freedom of 13 million adults should be respected and their lifestyle should be afforded a sense of measured tolerance. Of course we agree in not getting children started and therefore smoking could end in a generation...

I have smoked for over 20 years and enjoyed it, I did not smoke in other peoples houses, in many public places or in front of my mum... But I did that so as not to force it on others and I should be left with that choice..

However I am now giving up and have not had a cig since Jan 5th (first work day this year), thats personal choiice, for the sake of my future children who I do not want to be influenced by my smoking.. If an individual wants to give uo then fine and if not then fine... Personal choice, its our right...

dont give up yet hoggy, if they thought you were a hopeless case they would not be spending the money on a heart op , do you use a nebuliser, and are you getting phisio for your chest as this can greatly relieve the breathlessness you have, im not trying to interfere just get all you the help you can , and stay with us m8 !!!

the majority of people will never quit and if the poxy gov hadnt jumped in feet first on a total ban in pubs etc and agreed on smoke rooms in pubs etc u wouldnt get people smoking outside pubs etc,but as usual they dont listen to the people as a result pubs clubs etc shutting in their thousands, where if a smoke room was allowed a lot of the pubs would still be open.thank fcuk for duty free bacca at least its still affordable unlike a lot of things.

I agree. nothing is said about car exhaust fumes. People commit suicide using them, yet millions of cars are spewing these fumes into our faces.

I don't know if anyone here is old enough to remember flowers etc. growing at the side of country roads. Not anymore.

Recently when out for a walk I had to climb onto the verge to get past a parked car. The occupant was heating something in a spoon using a candle. I should imagine it would take along time to heat your soup this way.
