i think the key word here is respect, treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself. in my life i have found its the people who are unwilling to listen that learn nothing. its obvious people will disagree about anything and everything, and opinions are just that, your thoughts on the subject, and thats where there must be a balance and meaningfull debate not just flaming someone because they have another way to look at things, you have to earn respect and the best way is giving it to others, even if you dont necessarily agree with what their saying !!

Very mature mate...would you care to elaborate on this or disrespect me some more ? If you have something to say then say it but don't go disrespecting me like that you ignorent twat.
What was it I said earlier about differing opinions being one thing and respect being another ?
Another point proved!
@zaphodbb amen to that.....nobody should be disrespected because they state an opinion that's different to someone elses.Last edited by Raven; 9 March, 2009, 20:03.Comment

gmb45 if you wanna take this to pm be my guest, you obviously have some problem here....like I said nobody should be disrespected just for stating their opinions that's the whole point I was making in the first place....and so far I've been proved nothing but 100% correct so far so cheers for that mate.....I suppose you're more intelligent than me because you know how to disrespect somebody and pick up on the odd typo do you. Grow up!
Back on topic....so far this thread's proved my points correct that I was making especially about society and opinions versus respect and how there's a big diffrence....anyone that wants to maturely voice their opinion for or against mine that's great
- just do so with respect and not ignorence that's all....because that's what it's all about is respect. Treat others how you want to be treated back. gmb45 brought that response on himself for not doing that. And I apologise to everyone else for my response.....but you give respect and you get that same respect back and that's a fact of life. I don't know what more I can say other than that.....

@Raven i agree with everything that you have said. It does not matter what you say there will be always someone that disagrees with what you have to say. As there are always people that just want to start a rant or disrespect you that's just life. Some peeps just join these sites to start a rant to get on peeps nerves and they get off on that.
You can never please everybody.Comment

racism applies to nationality rather than pigment of skin. its intolerance of their colour, customs and language.
if you use any of these to attack somebody weither verbally or physically it is racism. unless the victim is white and uses english as a first language. that's not racism.
and as for opinions. yes you should be able to have and to voice an opinion. its natural somebody else isn't going to think the same way as you.
i don't know what the opinion was that you posted on the other forum but i think it was out of order for the admin to ban you just because he believed different.
unless what you said was completely out of line or personal to the admin or any other member. but i doubt that's what has happened otherwise you'ld realise why you were banned and accept it rather than rant about it.
it would also be nice if somebody had no interest in a subject that they just avoid it. it perfectly ok to express an opposite opinion if it was left at that. to keep popping in to try and force that opinion and ridicule others is just plain out of order.
unfortunately though, the world is full of idiots like that and forever will be.Last edited by krazylegz; 9 March, 2009, 20:43.Comment

@gizmo.1484 I can appreciate that but in gmb45's case he has been here a while and has alot more posts than I do, the guy is twice my age and he chose not to agree or disagree with what I was saying but to openly disrespect me....what does that say about him as a person aswell as respect for other people ? As I say there's differing opinions as that's where the term debate comes from....but the only difference between a debate and an argument happens to be quite big and that difference is respect. But yeah I do see what you are saying though
@ redspider.....I guess we have differing opinions on what racism actually is.....but the question I have for you is this - how is it not racism if the person is white english ? il give a real life example if a black fella in sunday league calls an opposing team white lad "cueball" how is that not racism ? it's the same principle about disrespecting or disliking someone over skin color - which is racism.....unless I'm totally misunderstanding what you actually said ?
As for your take on opinions yeah it is right that people should be able to voice their opinions and however they want to say it - so long as it's said respectfully it shouldn't be an issue.....as for my dealings on another forum, I had a do with the admin for him being out of order with me due to opposing opinions as a matter of respect and nothing more - alot like gmb45 just now as it happens, except in this case with him being admin it was greatly multiplied and one thing led to another and I ended up flatly telling him I disliked him and I ended up calling him all the names under the sun which did NOT get me banned, the community there predictably sided with the admin which only poured more gasoline onto the fire, and then I stated my original opinion again after it died down abit and then I was banned. Basically it snowballed but the guy held a grudge and couldn't wait to piss on me the first chance he got and that's how it started again - which for me the situation was a matter of respect and not differing opinions.
@ krazylegs it's shocking when people are like that when they can give it all day long but they can't take it.Last edited by Raven; 9 March, 2009, 21:09.Comment

Devilfish I know this m8, it is ironic or linked whatever you wanna call it but what I was saying in the thread before I went into race was that differing opinions are all fine and good, but disrespecting somebody for voicing their opinions or because their opinion isn't the same as yours, is plain wrong.....the thread actually went on to prove this I feel.....Comment

@ mr pumpy 360 is shit!
Lol only joking, I have one myself aswell as a PS3 and Wii - honestly for me I prefer the PS3.....I hope that statement won't get me into trouble or banned from here like it did the other place!
@ 666lucifer666 that video brings up some interesting bits of information there m8, but it's hardly impartial - even if the info contained is accurate the fact that it's none too impartial may and probably will discredit most of the info it contains.....saying this that's what fanboys do by their very nature - discredit factual info that's why I don't like them!
Although seriously now, is it just me or are the 360 fanboys worse for it than the PS3 fanboys ? both are at it for sure but it seems to me it's more the 360 lot than the PS3 lot....I could be wrong thoughLast edited by Raven; 9 March, 2009, 22:02.Comment
