depending on who you are and where you are from will dictate your own opinion of racism!!for me racism is a multitude of things from spoken words to actions and even non actions and attitudes towards either colour or country of origin but normally a bit of both.
this is only my opinion but we seem to be getting dragged down into something we all have a good understanding of what it is!!!
at the end of the day racism(whatever way you describe it!)is used unfairly against the white englishman,not normally by the people whom it should offend but normally by the pc brigade or as raven puts it johny do-gooders or the parasite lawyers trying to keep illegal immigrants(and terrorists) in our once fine country!!.

Okay guys we obviously have differing opinions on what constitutes racism beyond the color of one's skin....see to me the things you put across there redspider are nothing more than derogatory and disrespectful remarks not racism (altho I at the spaniard/diego one ive never heard that one before!) but to me those statements aren't racist, just derogatory and disrespectful and for me racism is purely to do with the color of someone's skin....at least that's what it was when I was growing up. And to be fair I don't see how it's any different now......I do wonder though about the people who say racism is many different things and if they would have said the same thing 20 years ago or if they are just being politically correct ?

I'd love to know why some people are taking the things I'm saying personally and getting a little hostile over it, it's just my opinions and I'm not out to get anyone I wanna be friends too - just don't be getting hostile just because you think I'm wrong or you dislike my opinion. Let's keep the respect above all else eh ?

We are all in agreement that to dislike someone for the color of their skin is racism, now the question I have is how is it racism if it's got nothing to do with the color of a person's skin ? Because so far nobody has been able to adequately explain that to me - my opinion is that it's a fact that it's an inaccurate tag - as I said before when you strip all the excess away ignorance is ignorance, disrespect is disrespect, derogatory is derogatory, and in the same respect racism is racism....it's simple to me I don't get why people feel the need to complicate things. Like how is it racist to call someone a "nigger" or a "paki" and yet it's alright to call another human being a "tramp" or a "pikey" if they are beggars or gypsies - to me all them words are one and the same - derogatory, on that front there's no difference.

I can understand how calling someone nigger or paki is wrong but it doesn't make it anymore wrong than calling someone a tramp or a pikey wherever else the word fits or it shouldn't do...and it certainly doesn't make the person a racist for saying them words....that's the point I'm making that a few people are having trouble processing so it seems. If anybody can respectfully point out where and why I'm wrong I'm all ears to your opinions and thoughts I really am......but to me calling somebody any of those words or openly showing racism makes you in the wrong, out of line and totally out of order since there's no need for it - but it doesn't make you a racist. It does make you two faced, like the guy who has a black friend but calls a black person he doesn't like or has an argument or fight with a nigger......fundamentally it's no different to calling someone a dickhead I'm sorry but it's really not. It's derogatory statements said for the same purpose and not racism. Oh but we call it racism, but that's not what it is. And it's done by all sides aswell not just white people, but it's only white people that seem to get screwed over for it though. Tell me then how is it any less "racist" if a black person calls a white person "cueball" - it isn't....but they still get away with not being called a racist by everyone.....and that's what's wrong today, things are lopsided and suddenly different to alot of people as and when it suits them and evidently they don't like being told and they take it personally. And even though it is that way, it shouldn't be......

@ Mr Pumpy there actually is a story behind my rant ....I got banned off another forum just (and only) because I stated my opinion and the admin there had the opposite opinion and didn't like it so like a total dickhead he disrespected me - so I had a do with him and then after that I stated my opinion again nowt to do with him and he banned me for it....bellend. So anyway we aren't allowed to voice our opinions in life anywhere anymore so it seems.....~~~~ them all is what I say they can all go bollocks - if they can't accept the fact that people have different opinions in life then they shouldn't have the right or freedom to comment on it.

Still I'm glad I can state my opinions freely here at least!

i dont think you are coming over as wrong,this is becoming a difference of opinion over terminology,we all have our own ideas on what racism is ,my own opinion is it is a mix of colour/creed and also place of origin!!
