aren't cakes suppoed to be soft. cakes go hard when stale as does bread. biscuits go soft.

malt loaf is sweet and fruity therefore it is cake
also, it is shelved by the cakes in the supermarket. don't tell me morrisons are wrong. i won't have it

Yes you could be correct there. But that is as far as I am going.

Trust an old man not to know the difference between a biscuit and a cake. No wonder everyone was mad at the last qedding I attended.

I have heard of a loaf of bread but never heard of a loaf of cake.

Maybe its something to do with tax anyway.....jaffacakes had a long court battle because someone said they were a biscuit and therefore had to pay tax whereas cakes don't.....I wonder if its the same for bread and cakes.

btw...jaffacakes won the battle and are classed as a cake.
