    Explanation

I received a letter this morning from a well know Insurance firm with a Norfolk name. The opening line was 'This letter has been sent in error, please ignore it'.

I E-mailed them to ask them why, not being one of their customers, was I sent a stupid letter in the first place. I also wanted to know all details they have on their files concerning residents at my address and who gave them permission to hold such details.

I received an E-mail reply immediately asking for the return of the letter before they can deal with my enquiry. I E-mailed a photocopy. I await a reply.

Has anyone else received silly correspondence?(notice I did not say letters)

P.S. I had nothing else to do.

Strange one that . If the sender knew it was going to be sent in error, why send it at all. Could it be something to do with confirmng your details to sell onto third parties.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
