    KKYAWSWAR seller on ebay

Bought a box of KKYAWSWAR which has become faulty. In an email to me when I first bought it he said there was a 12 month warranty on box (i still have email). The box is now faulty after 6 months and he quoted "We are not the manufacturer - we are the retailer. And under this law, we do not have to offer 12 month warranty, the manufacturer does"
I have sent the box back last week to him, only for it to be returned with the same fault and when I contacted him again about it being returned with the same fault, He quoted the above.
The only option left he said is "the only thing I am willing to suggest is that we will ask you to send the box back to us and we will send it to the manufacturer and ask them to test it and take any action they feel is necessary"
It boils my piss when you pay for something to be sent back to be fixed, comes back with the same fault. They dismiss you like they dont think there is anything wrong with it and now they want to to pay postage back again.
Where do we stand as a buyer on the 12 month warranty bit??

I am not a professional person but you need a proper advice.

As far as I can recon if he agreed in writing to give you 12 months warrantee then its 12 months warrantee.
Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

i think he may be right technically most retailers will help you out but a lot do a if it breaks in 28 days we will replace but after that it needs to be returned to manufacturer

most decent stores will take it back and swap/return/refund then send it back themselves but i dont think they have too

he should of sent it back to manufacturer instead of you really would have saved you both the extra postage i think you will just have to post it and await its return it will be new if its cheaper than to fix

I am not sure why your posting like this about this man? if he is saying it has 12 months warranty and he is saying he will send it back to factory for repair then he is doing what he said on his ad giving you 12 months! so i think you should give the guy a chance to sort your box for you !

I know Swar very well and is a very good friend and honest to the core guy, so please dont slate him till he totally ignored your emails or phone calls .

        Thanks Kev

Cheers Kev. He has replied to emails and has been very helpful, until the box was sent back with the same fault. I did try phone him but the contact number comes up as disconnected.I did give him a chance to sort the box and it was sent back with the same fault and now I'm expected to send it back, for it to sent back to manufacturer, when I was told this in email "If any problems let me know and got 12 months warranty. You can return, replace or refund anytimes..pls keep invoice"
The reason I am posting is for advice, which is why its in genearl chat

The law states that any seller must give you 12 months warranty with any new goods sold.
It is the sellers responsibility to get the faulty item/goods repaired at no cost to the buyer within that 12 month period. You can return the box to the seller and be compensated for the postage and packaging costs you pay. The seller has no right to say its a manufacturers problem, the seller has a legal right and duty ( by law ) to initially provide you with 12 months warranty, any further cover ( ie 3 years warranty etc ) is provided by the manufacturer. If you go to the Citizens Advice Website you will see loads of help on there, also some good templates to help you correctly address the seller. If you look like you mean business, the seller will comply with the law. Remember, the law is on your side and you do have buyer protection with ebay etc....

Yes and this is the exact same box. That post was made approx a week after purchase was made and there was was a problem with it stuck in a boot loop and he gave advice what to do.The problem occurs at more than one house so its unlikely the lnb problem.
My post in your link I mention the 12 month warranty which was what Swar said, not 6 month.
I will make a video of the problem and you tell me if You think there is nothing wrong with the box.
