    Panasonic: 64mb,128mb,256mb,512mb,1gb.

I think either my daughter or son has bought the card for the camera and did not realize the requirements. I don't want to bother them considering they bought me the camera for my 70th.

    So a 2gb is out.

Just been readin the manual for your camera, and your right about those card sizes.
I'm surprised it doesn't take a bigger card.

A 1gb card will be ok if your going shoot in jpeg only, but if you shoot in Raw or jpeg/Raw then you could struggle with space, especially on special occassions like holidays where your constantly snapping.
Those Raw file sizes are massive.

Ive got that Canon 450d with 2 x 4gb cards which are plenty big enough, and I shoot in Raw/jpeg.

    That is all.

    p.s. keep the clean.

Did the card actually come with your camera or was it bought with it???
Don't know if it makes a difference but I think your camera takes a sd/mmc,
is that the same as a normal sd card????

i have a ten times optical on mine very powerful, this one has twelve times so wow better, you can increase it with digital zoom as well, but the best thing about these cameras is they use AA battery's so you dont need to buy spare battery pack and you dont need to worry about having no power left just pop in a shop and buy new sorted
