ring the costoms up, state your a low posing DK member, you would like to clafiry the situation of, you can pay the VAT/IMPORT over the phone now, is it correct in saying you can tell parcelfarce to naff orf with their charges.

From the Emericans who posted it point of view - likewise when you send stuff out of uk.

they paid say $10 this to get the item from one side of Emerica to the other then deliverede to Ingland

Sorry to hear that they got you for it, but it happens from time to time. Just one of those things really. Anything inside the EU you don't have to pay duty on, most things that come from outside the EU you have to pay duty on - it's just not well advertised. I would have argued the admin fee form parcelforce all the same, robbing bar stewards. Anyway, thanks for posting the result.

i buy stuff regular from china but its the same process m8

from what i can remember its under ?15 value ok no customs

up to ?40 value can be used for a gift

you can ask exporter to put on lower value on item but some genuine sellers do not like that the fake china people always do it but if your buying legit they sometimes like the real value on

as if say you bought watch for a grand then they labelled it ?40 and it got lost in post the ?1000 watch is now worth just ?40 on the insurance. They also run risk of customs checking parcel and confiscating if found to be fraudulent

btw to meaty you can tell them to **** off your not paying it but all they do then is return it to sender
