National Service Bill

Conservative MP for Kettering Philip Hollobone proposed the National Service Bill and there is an e-petition against the Bill.
I have started an e-petition in support of the Bill, because I believe that it could be a saviour for Britain, as it would provide a solution to Youth Unemployment, instill a respect for authority that has been lost, teach youngsters discipline and give them a work ethic by providing a structure to their daily life and it would also give many a direction for a trade after their service.
If the National Service was compulsory then it would also discourage those wishing to migrate to Britain as a soft option, thus reducing costs to the Benefits System, the National Health Service and the Education System and also increase the Social Housing stock.
Having done their Nation Service the youngsters should return back into civilian life with discipline, respect and a work ethic, so this should also help to prepare them for a working life and also help reduce crime.

It would help the immigration problem because anyone in the age bracket who wishes to work and reside here would be eligible for National Service and so the scroungers and dead-beats would not come here to milk our systems, also proof of National Service could then also be made a criteria for applying for employment or benefits and that would begin to weed out the illegals.

Would have signed it, but as the Tory MP for Meat-City blanked me on a genuine matter the other week, not going to make the effort.

Only thing about these war things is when people come back dead fine, but when they come back with a 1 useable arm or 1 leg only conversion, there buggered for life.

Amazing how people with 1 arm manage with daily life.

Never did my old man any harm (well apart from the free fags they gave out to smoke back then), does not seam to hurt the Swiss. Can't see no harm in it myself, though I would have to say if the person got a collage/uni placement then they should be free to pursue that (though if they drop out then blammo draft them back in)

How many young adults have no skills and no job, this would give them 2 years work and training

It did harm a few Iraqi soldiers who didn't want to be on the front line, but like others, Iraq has compulsory service in their armed forces.

But then again, who cares. If it can be used to straighten out the devolving nature that's strife in todays youth culture... go for it.

The problem is that even the armed forces are complaining about the level of individual that's trying to join up. Complaints about bullying during training, screaming about their human rights as soon as they're asked to do something different. National Service & the Armed Forces have to be tough. Get that sorted first.

National service will real help them out after they failed to gain the other options because of ASOB etc The army force will be the last option complaints wouldn't get them back to mummy! Just a stint of time military style!!!!
