good film. Went to the piccies a the weekend and seen it. Hope the sequal is as good or better.
It makes you think about the issues from both points of view.

What would Happen if this was a real scenario. ie space ship stranded on earth with thousands of aliens on board needing help?

what would happen most likely is that the government would have taken them all away somewhere for their own safety only for the people to find out later on that a virus had wiped them all out. Conspiracy tales would run wild about experiments on aliens and an introduced virus!!

It kinda already is happening... if you follow it closely its almost a direct analogue of the Apartheid situation in south Africa.
White ignorance vs "subhuman kaffas" spanning from 1948 to 1994... the fact that this situation was allowed to continue for so long sickens me to the core.

It also ties in quite nicely with situations involving cat food being eaten by the starving masses of black prisoners.

Other parts tie in with the haulocaust, with what was seen to happen over in australia with the first colonies etc.
Its essentaly a ficticious fingerpointing at the worst of humanities pasts.

What worries me most about the entire "Great Aparthied" ideology of the african government was that it took place AFTER the 2nd world war, when people had already witnessed simmilar events inflicted upon Jews. The fact that humanity learned nothing other than how to commit better acts is more than a little unsettling.
