Hows about a dictionary of terms used in the technical forums, I`m new to DK and am trying to get info on cams(i have a T Rex twin module powered by firecrypt which gave me Premiere on 19`E and Inow get an occasional Betacrypt chan. free on 9`E) otherwise I might as well be looking into a shore. Can the above cam be formatted through the debug on the humax hd2000ci menu. I find a lot of the terms used in the forums too technical. Any comment?

Easy Peasy!! You will find this will always happen if the antenna has not been
discombobulated, which to put in simple terms (because I am a simple person)
means the coaxial coefficient resistance does not match the downloaded
compacitance when the current is in fluctuation mode, If on the other hand your
Coat Hanger is of the coated kind you will get a much improved reception
provided the ohms is not higher than the htz (if that were the case you would be
making toast). You can of course fine tune the static, with a variable static
tuner, once you have tuned out the white noise (no racial slur intended), you
are left with a smooth sinewave, with a little glass paper you can produce a
rough sinewave which you demodulate to your herts (get it!) content, no will
understand you, but they never do anyway.

Ive often wondered why we dont have a digital kaos wiki.
I mean we could have a thread asking questions by people who dont know what the hell "CHMOD 777" or some other mundane (although appropriate) question means and people could respond in with the answer while a group of trusted members colate all the data from that into our very own wiki.
Guides could be updated on to it and it could act as a central hub for all the wealth of knowledge contained in DK.
This would also mean that theres no need to download the text files from the downloads section, cause they would be readily available to everyone.
That way when a person asks a mundane question that gets asked every five minuites you just need to post a link to the wiki entry and let them have at it, as opposed to desperately trying to focus your mind into no spamming with hate filled flames at the happless user
Its also a hell of a lot easier to search through a wiki for information than it is to search a forum full of vague headings for useful information.
imho this should have been in development years ago, especialy since the userbase has grown exponentialy and theres a valid need.He who laughs last thinks slowest.Comment
