yep i am getting similar but i just persuaded her to get the coil back in she awaits her fitting at the minute after a couple of drama's

needs some serious consideration does the snip, what if you split from the wife/gf then get a new partner who wants a baby ? it happened to an old work m8 of mine, he split up with his partner then found another g/f who was 10 years younger ( he 32 she 22 at the time ), she really wanted a baby so he had to pay something like 3-4 grand to go private for a reversal because the nhs wouldnt do it, and he said the pain was worse for the reversal than the snip, i never found out if the reversal worked tho. oh yeh and my brother in law had it done then split with my sister not that long after, this was when they was both in their early thirties.

isnt it amazing how many of you think it is OUR job to sort the contraception out. anything permanent by a female involves a general anasthetic which carries huge risks esp if you are older (which im presuming most of the women would be after having the kids they want) surely you wouldnt want to put your loved one through all this for a couple of days miscomfort for yourselves? you selfish lot.

ive taken all the contraception control since i was 18 so its his turn (although it is a diff his if you know what i mean)

coil is due for renewal in feb and i dont want another at the age of nearly 45 as i dont want any more hormones in my system. i wouldnt consider a hystericalrectomy as id need hrt and there is no way in hells earth im taking that. i will do my utmost to cope with it when it happens.

Ok ppl, I may have got a reprieve, miss red,( tried the mrs thing before, well over rated), had a read of this today and was well impressed with it. When she got to Cankers post, she said to me, it reaffirmed what she had been thinking of doing, especially with the whole cancer thing. She has minor probs, but don't want to take the chance. So, she is seriously thinking of a Hysterectomy.I just wanted to be ready on my end of things. At no point did she try push me to do this, honestly, and I still would, but might as well wait to see what her quack says (he says in anticipation) . Thanks to everyone for replying and going by the posts, it's a piss of pish.

Nah Bd, can't go into too much detail m8, except to say she had cells removed bout 8months ago, and had to have more removed last week. If it's just because they missed them last time, great stuff, I'll soldier on with the snip.

congrats guys on your honesty and showing an example to many others who see it as the females job to take care of contraception. as they say its only a little ***** (sorry couldnt resist) then a few hours (days?) of discomfort. im nipping my b/f's ear about this subject just now and come feb i want an answer off him as why should i have to take the resposibility. the pill never did agree with me or the hormone jags.

Maybe he is a bit worried that he is only a boyfriend and not a husband ?? Being married shows a bit more security ( i know only a bit more ) I have been asked by my wife to have it done, and i am planning on getting it done in 2011.
