HTC Wildfire vs Desire

Hi,I got an HTC Wildfire for my wife, it's screen is nowhere near as good as my HTC Desire and smaller too.
The Desire does need charging everyday, the Wildfire needs charging twice a week, neither of us leave wifi or bluetooth on all the time.
I was very skeptical about Android phones (always had Nokia), I got my HTC Desire last June and it's the best phone I have ever had, everyone who has seen it loves it too, my brother has now bought an HTC desire after seeing it and so has our local Peugeot delivery driver.
I use Windows XP at work and Mac OSx/Windows 7 at home, I want something different on my phone and I am very pleased with the amount of free software available in the Android market.

No, the HTC HD2 is not the desire, it is a windows phone, but it and a few others use the same (excellent) processor, the 1Ghz snapdragon.
~~~~ the windows shite, and ~~~~ the apple shite... Android is the boy... and if anyone doesn't agree.. then your in denial.

As regards battery life, it depends what you do.. when I first got mine I was messing all the time, now the novelty has worn off, it can easily last two or three days, and I NEVER turn off Wi-Fi or GPS. I rarely use bluetooth, so that is off.

There are tips for getting the best out of a battery, ie charging and draining fully a few times.. google that yourself for more info.

finally managed to get the wife a
htc desire with 300 mins , unlimited text , 500 meg internet ,
free vodafone to vodafone calls for ?20 per month

and that took a lot of haggling

I now have a previsoly enjoyed HTC Touch2. Windows phone

Did manage to get a shat nav programme working "IGO8" - a lot eaiser
to 'fiddle' than tomtom. But killed it by accidnet - JUST need to edit
"sys.txt" - will share when i figure it out again - if that is easy but a pig to work out.

THIS MIGHT NOT WORK, but *HOPING* to use the ELM327 Bluetooth
Pocket PC programme, so i can go round putting out engine lights in parking lots.

No messing around for laptop to boot - look on DK using the wireless internet whilst pretending to look at a costomers car.

Found this the other day, but will have to join using a fictious name as
"Meat-Head" is taken as is "Meat-Head II, III IV" etc etc.

APPARTNLY you can use the HTC to decode reanult radio's

i got samsung galaxy 2 and its fab. the galaxy 3 is out in july.

i prev had htc desire s and it was a great phone as well however galaxy has a much bigger screen and thats so much better for playing angry birds on

i was looking at upgrading to a new phone from a nokia,cant read the dam screen in bright daylight,but curious how robust are these new phones as i carry mine in trouser leg,i have my nokia in a leather pouch for protection,not landed in the bucket of oil yet .

The galaxy s 3 looks the best out there and should be out before July. I have my name down on the t mobile waiting list, they have said it should be first week in June.
