mine are ?137, and ?157 and I thought mine was bad. I have started to be frugaller, if thats a word, but I still keep warm and do what I want.
Saying that, my gas fire ~~~~ed up in the middle of winter, and two bottle of superser gas was used, another ?60.
Got to be a mistake. im with southern electric on pre-pay meter, which as you know is usually more expensive than quarterly.
i buy ?15 gas and ?15 leccy each week.
so my quarterly spend is ?360 for both!!

Look at the back of the bill for the meter readings. If any show 'E' for either the start of the quarter or the current reading you have an estimated bill.
e.g. 12th Nov 2010 Meter reading 11456(E)
1st Feb 2011 Meter reading 11954
Total 498 units
In this case the last bill ended on an estimated reading & ran to a hard reading (read by official). If both are showing (E) then you really need to read the meter & get a revised bill.
The problem with estimated bills, especially over a long time, is if they have been under estimating your usage. If this is the case ask for all bills to be recalculated from the last firm reading to your current reading.
PM me if you need more help or info.

I'm on direct debit with Scottish gas for both, was ?45 a month equates to ?135 a quarter for gas and electric. Just got a statement in and they've recalculated it to ?35, ?105 a quarter. I give an online reading, saves about 5% per annum. Mind you I live in a new build with up to date insulation and double glazing, makes a hell of a difference. Last winter in my old house it was nearer ?360 a quarter for both.
Are you sure you haven't got a cannabis farm in your loft as even with estimated billing that seems very excessive
Welcome to DK the workds best website - for fun entertainment oh and DOWNLOADS!
Would be inclinded to turn all electric items in the house off, plug in one electric appliance, vacum, heater whatever for 1/2 hour, so that's 1/2 kilowatt hour - see if it makes sense on reading of meter.
Oh, just make sure you can acess DK from your mobile - that's scay, no electric means no DK
