What I can not understand we have so called The Office of Fair Trading, The Trading Standards, and we have The Law and Order, but any of them can not stop this kind of traders as PayPal to stop trading when there are thousands of peoples have lost money so called as the money laundering when your money is frozen for no apparent reason.

Did you know that PayPal can take money from your account with no reason, you waive that right when you agree and sign up, another of them long winded EULA's that no one reads.
The question is who is going to stop them not our Judges you will have to fight for it so lets start now.

if you want to sell on ebay you have to have a paypal account basically yes you can sign up with others but most people are going to pay you through paypal

i think their regulations are very poor and are open to abuse and do not protect sellers but as i said earlier how?

I'll sign any petition against paypal or ebay, shower of shite the both of them. My 15 year old son had ebay and paypal accounts and some arsewipe bought his ds from him. They paid and then raised a dispute which ended with paypal freezing his account saying he owes them ?70. He did lift the original ?70 out but the other party did not return the ds. After much phoning to Indian call centres who I could barely understand and they could not understand me, my son is in the position of owing paypal money with no ds returned. In the middle of all this we had to leave for a week for a family funeral and came back to this situation. Ebay don't want to know as the case is closed according to them and paypal say it is not their problem take it up with ebay. Upshot is I phoned paypal up and very angrily told them to ~~~~ing sing for the money and told my son to use my account if he wanted to sell anything else.

The golden rule is never leave any standing money in your PayPal account, once a transaction has gone through transfer it straight into your nominated account, also have your bank account password protected so no one but yourself can access it as PayPal are a bunch of b*st*rds...

We were informed by our solicitor that taking paypal to court, you only have 2% chances of wining and I will explain that if you ever have to take paypal to court you may only win when you have 100% police involved with criminal activities recorded by police with the crime code.
So why customers always lose there case?

1. When you have been left with Judge to resolve the case on behalf of paypal you do not have a leg to stand on.
2. You will lose your case on the ground if you sent the claim to the address at PayPal (UK) Limited the Judge will tell you there is no case to answer because you have sent the claim to wrong address, if you send the claim to PayPal (Europe) Limited you will still lose the case because you have sent the case to the wrong address, do not ask me of any legality on this issues because I have written a letter to our MP and I am waiting for the reply.
3. The last thing you will be asked by the Judge did you read the full agreement of paypal rules the answer is yes because all the information in the agreement is only covered by the European Union we do not read.

So what we can do to avoid paypal taking us for a ride, nothing mate Judges are on there side and the agreement is not covered by the UK law enforcement if you can not prove without the help of our police force you have lost it simple as that.
Although most of my friends and families have cancelled the membership with paypal to avoid getting robbed therefore if we have to buy any thing from any were in UK or abroad we use our credit card because it?s best to be safe then sorry.

Paypal is a service, don't like them? Guess what there's no gun at anyone's head forcing them to sign up, there's nothing preventing people other than their own ignorance from reading through the TnC's and EULA's
If people get stung then its pretty much their own fault.

No amount of petitioning anyone is going to prevent anyone from operating inside the law, they've displayed their end of the contract, the user has agreed, case closed!

Paypal said they can do X, Y and Z, i agreed and then they went and did it BOOOOO HOOO HOOO BAAAAAWWWWWWW.

Chroma lets not talk about the Jews, thousands lost life in the hands off Hitler and history is the living proof and our hearts go to those who lost there life with the most hated man in the world, the point I am making is the awareness that in all business there is a system for instant if you buy an item from a shop you have the 12 months guarantee in UK and if you buy an item from China, if any thing goes wrong under 12 months you can not do anything about it but we still buy items that?s why we call this a monks game. With PayPal it?s a monks game you may get away for years doing business with them but when you have been sting with them you may able to realise you can do nothing about it and this is the awareness? but if any one wants to take there chances its there?s decisions we are not hear to stop people getting into that situation.
Another thing most people do not know is PayPal is not the bank, I have been doing business with wearies banks in the past and when ever I lost any money from fraudsters or if I have bought an item from a shop and its not working our credit card company will help you get your money back so we should do business with the trusted companies and not with the monks.
I have seen some people affected mentally and has ruined there life in getting in to the situation were some women?s have lost the money and have been denied help from PayPal because of poor choices when they have been left with no money to buy milk for there children?s, I only found out when I worked in the Age Concern, and have been working in our communities before my retirement.
End of the day you have the choice so lets make a right choice, the right choice is you deal with the trusted company.

Don't use Paypal then, it's simple. There are others out there like moneybookers.com who offer the same service and will also send money to other people who don't even have a moneybookers account with just an email address.

I've had an account with both for years and the only time I ever had problems was when it was used in conjunction with Ebay. I think if you check all of those stories above, there is an Ebay connection there. I actually think the finger is being pointed in the wrong direction, Ebay has a lot of power when it comes to Paypal.

Trust, there's no such thing in business that why "legaly BINDING contracts" exist.

Paypal is merely a middleman.

Take your example, some complete idiot decides to purchase something, gets their dumb ass scammed because they where frankly too stupid to be let behind a keyboard and didn't actually research the seller beforehand.

And then they expect Paypal to come to their aid?
I could understand if paypal was running a charity but its not its a business. Emphasis on "BUSINESS"
Now her kids are starving, boo hoo, Its HER fault! Not paypals, the onus doesn't lay with paypal to make sane rational transactions with trusted individuals, they just wire money between parties.
Parties who should maybe be responsible enough to do their homework!

If I give a wad of cash to some crook on the street is it the banks fault for printing the money? Hell no its MINE for trusting an asshole, if my kids starve that's my fault too!

The "AWARENESS" is already in the print, in stark black font on white, if your mentaly handicapped enough to indiscriminately give money to strangers you deserve the repercussions. Plain and simple.

Society as a whole has shifted to high gear commercialism, everyone wants something immediately often at the sacrifice of rational behaviour, if i buy this next trinket maybe somehow i'll be happier. Patience and contemplation are two arcane and obsolete virtues in modern society.
As is taking responsibility for your own actions.

This entire thread has been a glaring indictment into the depth of human stupidity!
I don't want to pay a fee for security when I'm trading, I should be mature enough to actually do some background before money changes hands.
I'm also a large supporter of removing all these bloody safety warnings too, wet floor signs? Do not wrap your head in plastic bags? Do not use chairs as ladders? Get rid of the lot! Let the gene pool clear itself out.

I made the same mistake when people at large used to tell me shite like you have when it happens to be if you who has lost the money you will have a deferent tune.
I sold an Elephant on ebay the buyer paid ?10,000 to paypal account, paypal told the seller to post the Elephant to buyer and after few days paypal tells you we have found out that you have more then one accounts therefore your money is frozen, they got your money and you can not do any thing about that to get that money back, it tells you to read the small print, about time chroma you should read the small print of 12 pages and then come back telling me what have you read because I have noticed you sleep in the day time and stay wake at night so you can not see the future of other people you have got 1,755 post and 132 thanks worth looking in to why people are not thanking you!
