Brits get 4 years prison for Facebook riot posts - CBS News
Im no fan of these animals but to lock two blokes up for 4 years for inciting the riots via twitter or facebook is way too much. To put it into perspective they got more time than a guy in glasgow got for having and sharing 12,000 pedo images in his laptop. The photos were at the very very top end of the seriousness scale. Its obvious they have been made an example of at taxpayers expense once the human rights lawyers have a look at it.

it looks like Labour spin doctors fooled a lot of people on dk when labour came to power in 1997 the country was running a budget balance within a few years we where running in the red; When labour lost the last election we had a deficit of over ?900 billion before you say it was to bail out the banks here are the figures
      Nationalizing the Northern Rock bank . . . ?20.3billion
      Nationalizing Bradford and Bingley . . . ?24.6billion
Bailing out banks other than the Northern Rock & Bradford and Bingley . . . ?132.4billion= total bailout ?177.3 billion
Debt when labour elected ?352 billion
So you labour lovers what happen to the other ?371 billion which that crook Brown wasted

dont cut anything borrow more is labours message spend the way out of everything for easy votes

yes that makes so much sense

for example (fee's are just approx for illustration)

pay a bin man ?500 a week of taxpayers cash

of that his take home is ?400

so there is ?100 back in the tax coffers

he spends ?50 on fuel to get work ect so theres say ?30 back in the tax coffers

his foodshopping is ?100 i will roughly estimate vat to be ?20 although it will be less

he spends ?60 on fags so there is ?40 back in the coffers

he then pays for a night out and spends ?80 of which ?40 is tax back in the coffers the rest goes in bank

so the treasury/ taxpayer pays this man ?500

the treasury gets back through his tax ?230

wow now thats going to help the recovery isnt it ???

the pm is now ?270 down from 1 employee now multiply that by every other bin man, road sweeper, teacher doctor nurse soldier and policeman and tell me how saving all their jobs is going to help the country

          jobseekers is only ?65

and anyone who thinks different needs to go back to primary school for some basic lessons in addition and take away sums

nowt will change with any government until fractional reserve banking is taken down

and government is in charge of its own money

cant work with banking the way it is have a good look at money and how its taxed by the banks before lending it to the government

money is in fact a clever illusion most cannot comprehend its real worth and what its actual costs are to the people of the country

there are a few vids on youtube mostly explaining the us monetary system but all work the same

as for the riots well that's just cause and effect but the looters didn't help in fact made it easier to make more laws against real and justified opposition and protest !

and they will take the incentive and make some new rules and regulations to criminalise protests

Yes but at least Labour got us into the Iraq war and signed our rights away to Europe following the referendum that they gave us (Made that bit up, they never really gave us a referendum despite promising it). And look at the cracking job they did inviting everyone over here to take the low paid jobs so we can pay our own people to sit on their arses.

Back on thread. The punishments they are dishing out should have been the starting point years ago. Turn prisons into real prisons, ditch TVs, Gyms and any other luxury. The do gooders argue they need it to allow them to be prepared for for their release back into the community. Well I'm sorry these things were in the community before they were imprisoned and it never helped them then so maybe we should try punishments instead.

I totally agree, you hear of stories where someone has got 2-3 months, serve half that, as soon as they are released they go out and commit another small crime so they get taken straight back to jail and when asked why they say

"its to hard on the outside, you need to work to earn money for food and accommodation or live on the street, inside you get feed, clothed, hot water and a bed to sleep in all for free"

as I said before make the jails a punishment, like these:

Prisons and Prisoners - ForeignPrisoners.com - Foreign Prisoners Support Service

and not a hotel, It should be, you do a crime, you serve your time, end of story, but instead you get all these do gooder human rights idiots coming out with all the bullsh*t, "prepare them for release back into the community", if they can't behave like they should in "the community" they should stay bagged up in a shit hole and forgoten about, we dont want them on the street. It should be 3 strikes and your in for a long time.

There is very little difference now between Tory and Labour. Tony Bleauch moved the Labour so far right as to make no sense.

Rioting and looting like this is a failure of government end of story. If they introduced a law that said that each person could shoot one MP or solicitor of their choice per year with anonymity then we would soon have a country that worked.

It is totally ridiculous to prosecute people for doing what our genes tell us to do. Fight and flight, raid and pillage are a lot deeper than the "though shalt not" imposed on us by our laws and it is the job of the government to make our lives such that we do not feel a need to employ our baser instincts.

Typical cop-out! Blame everything on Government. Whatever happened to personal responsibility?

Here we go again! You are a human being ffs! You have a mind of your own. You (should) know the difference between right and wrong.

If you do wrong it's your own fault. Don't try and shift the blame onto someone else!

Humans have full control over their actions with the exception of the mentally insane. Why do humans not go walking into lions dens, swimming with sharks with bits of meat tied to themselves. Go poking wasps nests or jump out of planes without a parachute etc? Simple reason, they know if they don't die it's going to kin hurt. We've learnt that the outcome outways the pleasure.

Now ask why criminals keep repeating their crimes. They get a slapped wrist or locked up with 3 meals a day, sky tv, free medical treatment etc. Things a lot of them don't get on the outside. How many of them would be repeat offenders if they were stripped naked, given a good kicking them thrown out onto the street?
