what a load of shite , you guys know ~~~~ all
my missus works for the government , and she now been told , she has to put up her pension funds, to earn less pension at the end of her years and work longer.
she will be entitled to about ?7,000 a year pension when she eventually retires, thats if she lives that long .
the government suck, and do what they want, and most people just sit back and accept it, ffs fight back , soon we will be working till we die.
Is that what we want, nothing to look forward to but work and dieLast edited by aftermath; 2 December, 2011, 02:19.

Pension terms are part of a public sector worker's pay deal. Any attempt to introduce negative reforms is a direct attack on their existing compensation package.
I would back any private sector worker who chose to strike in protest at an impending wage cut. This isn't about public versus private. The strikers should be supported, not censured.
Let the government open negotiations with trade unions instead of unilaterally imposing such prejudicial austerity measures.
To describe the public sector workers as "greedy" is, quite frankly, disgusting and demonstrates a complete lack of understanding.Comment

Most opinions I have read are disgusting.
I do not see it as a joke when a TV presenter telling the audience to line up and just open machine gun on them.

well if our governments dont stop ****in takin money off all of us, the public and private, we all need to get out on the street and start putting some heads on spikes.
i suspect all these public / private debates (in both Ireland and UK) are being created to divide and conquer.
mrs grizz(nurse) and me(selfemployed) have been screwed left right and centre by the Irish governemnt over the last few years, my business is barely ticking over at this stage, if it wasnt for her wages we would be totally fcuked.
there has often been debates in ireland about farmers getting grants from the EU(more divide and conquer), but my own experience at the moment is that they are the only people who are spending money at the moment, they are certainly giving me enough work and to keep me off the dole.
i, for one, couldnt give a good fcuk who is getting the most money in this country as long as they spend it here in this country and it keeps people in jobs.
sorry im rambling, but im here trying to decide which is more important to pay, my Electricity or my GODDAM COUNTY COUNCIL TAX..............................arrrrrgggggggghhh hhhh
thanks for allowing my morning rant.Comment

The fundamental problem is that the government are shite at their job. We need radical changes to the people in there for example every 5 years pick 300 people at random off the electoral register and make them MPs or make it compulsory for an MP to have at least 15 years in industry at a real job before they qualify to stand. Same should apply to teachers.
Oh, and as an aside shoot all the ~~~~in lawyers and get rid of all the "make work" jobs that are out there so we can have some real industry back.Comment

Got that wrong there (perhaps 10 yrs ago better pay in private sector- for similiar job)imagine I had the option of a choice of two jobs,
one in the private sector with slightly better annual pay,
or one in the public sector with lower pay but better pension provisions,
I opt for the public sector because of the better pension, then a few years down the line, my employer says sod the fact I signed a legal binding contract, there going to screw me over anyhow,
don't you think I'd be a bit pizzed off,
when the pensionable age was introduced, the average life expectancy was 66.5, you had 1.5 years to enjoy your pension, and that is where were heading to again,
the fact that you pay in to a crap pension doesn't mean everyone should get the same, just as the public employee shouldn't get paid the same as a private sector worker.
if anyone is feeling sorry for themselves I say it's you.
NOT ANYMORE
+ a lot have flexible working hrs & better holiday entiltement !
THEY dont realise how well off they really are

People pay into a pension and expect the return they have worked for and expected. The government then decide that they have to pay more money in, wait two years longer and then get a smaller pension, and you think they should lie down and accept it. How is it greed ? The greed is with the government ~~~~ing the working man again.Oh boo fcking hoo!
So they have to work an extra 2/3yrs to get a pension that most of the private sector wouldn't get near.
My heart bleeds for them!
I'll have paid into a pension all my life and will probably still be working at 67.
Is that fair?
Love the "We're doing it for the younger generation as well" line...fck off.
It's pure and simple GREED.
And try to make a point without personal insults. It may be a mod privilege but it doesn't make it right.
No it's not fair that you have to work until your 67, it's not fair that anyone has too that's why people went on strike and not took your attitude and bent over to be butt ~~~~ed. BTW that's not a personal jibe it's not a mod priviledge it's just plain and simple fact. I take it your a Tory like Clarkeson.

The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12
Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.Comment

I think the main reason some people were upset was Clarkson is a friend of Cameron and thought they would score some points Also union leaders were not happy when he called there lapdog a one eyed idiot the one that finished all private sector final salary pensions by altering tax on shares pension funds held .He was told this would happen and he did not care.
