The Central Bank has denied the rumour that the punt is being printed. So, it probably is and anyway, any country that is not taking some kind of action in view of the euro's sad state is living in cloud cuckoo land.
The eu can now proceed with change without Irelands participation if it can get 9 other eu states to ratify whatever is on the table.Ireland is not able to delay new Euro fiscal compact - European, Business - Independent.ie

My view is that Germany are taking Europe by stealth having previously failed by war.
Every time I see a picture of Berkel and Sarcosis I can't help but laugh as I know which of them in the pic is gonna be the loser.
That said, that in itself could start another war.

The funny part I see is, that we've all been helping to constitute the fourth reich, and it never dawned on anyone what was going to happen !!

Everyone since the last war!! Has been helping to rebuild Germany, to become the alleged powerhouse it is today.

Fair play to them though. They changed their business model and strategy, and have been successful at it , without invading anyone this time!!
