From the horses mouth the lad was asked loads of times for his ticket. He was stalling then produced a used ticket for a single journey. This was pointed out to him and he was asked to pay up and told the conductor to F off. There then followed about five minutes of swearing on and off and the lad was asked to leave the train which he refused. A few of the other passengers were getting pissed off including a family with three little kids who had a relative waiting for them in Stirling. It was a Friday night and there were a few workers on the train who were pissed off as they'd been working all day and wanted to get home.

When the lad continued swearing and refusing to move one of the passengers with the big lad said 'if that lad was mine I'd slap his arse.' At that the big guy stood up and the rest is as you saw on the video. Afterwards the majority on the train were congratulating the big guy.

The guy who videoed it said he did the right thing as it was all over in seconds when he was thrown off. He knew if they carried on the journey there would be no Police available as they've better things to do, this way the little shi@ got his punishment.

The lad has now been on Scottish news saying he must have accidentaly bought two single tickets and he's a diabetic. Stand by for relevations of his Granny dieing of cancer and how he was adopted and helps handicapped kids in his spare time.

Sorry but this thread explain why uk is a shithole it seems that lad was a yob swearing and being a asshole and he thought he would get away it .The people who say let the police deal with it what would they have done about it ,told him not to be a naughty boy and how much compensation would you like. If the bigman goes to court as the dogooders want it will show how crap this country has become.

I still think we have law and order if the lad was abusing.

The big man taking matter in his own hands is not acceptable because there was no immediate threat to the passengers getting hurt.

The big man should be tried for using force in the court of law.

snowy thanks for posting the actual version of events but i havent changed my mind i still believe the the train should have continued its journey and the driver phone or radio ahead for the police to meet them at the next station. If the passengers were inconvenienced by the delay then the conducter is to blame not the lad- After all he was just sitting there sleeping when the conducter came round to check his ticket. Think about what would have happened if the lad had a blade hidden on him and a fight ensued on the train. As for the big man i hope he doesnt face prosecution, but i dont think he used reasonable force and the state of the guys face proves that. As for the guy who said no police would be available thats just bullsh** the transport police are there exclusively for the rail networks and are well covered all over central scotland.

Bob the way youre going on here you would have thought the lad killed someone on the train that night- FFS he didnt have a valid ticket no big deal he was sleeping not bothering anyone. Ps if youve ever been on a train you will know that a lot of folk get away with buying a ticket by moving around the train when the conducter moves around, lets all do something about that too eh.

Here's my understanding on the big lads actions & the law.

The student didn't have a valid ticket. The train was stopped before it left the platform, this would allow the student to get off without any criminal charges & buy a ticket.
He refused to leave. A train is not public access, it's privately owned. As such the conductor has the legal right to use/authorise the minimum force required to remove him from the train.

Now the thing with the terminology 'minimum force' is that it constantly changes depending on events. Another way to put it is this... As long as you can justify the level of force you used, that will be the minimum level accepted. Or there abouts.

A person doesn't have to pose a threat to people before force can be used. All they have to do is resist attempts to move them. The more they resist, the more force can be used.

You do yes BUT they do ~~~~ all beacuse that are not allowed to, if the police got involved they would had taken him down the police station and he would have got a small fine, does that stop him doing it again, I think not, IMO the little scum bag got what he got what he deserved, sitting there in a public place behaving like a complete arsehole and using that sort of language in front of kids, as for the:

'He's tried to get back in the carriage to get his bag.
'He's diabetic and all his his medication, his university notes, his money, his mobile phone and his Ipod.

bullshit, stop the video at 27 and you can see the other guy in the blue with white stripe coat on throws his bag off the train

This sort of thing should happen more oftern to teach these gobby little shites a lessen, they have no repect for anything or anyone

I did not mention tricket dodgeing I was talking about his behavour after he was asked for his ticket and found without one its time this was stamped out.He knew the dogooders would be on his side but I think the tide is turning and people are fed up with some of the youth of the last few years who think they are above the law .The country owes them a living why should I work mentality. I can understand the younger generation thinking like that as they have not known anything different but the older ones must have lost the plot

If i was that student i would now be pursuing scotrail for damages. Scotrail were negligent in that their ticket collector goaded a member of the public into ejecting a passenger off the train by refusing to let the train move off. Also the ticket collector is responsible for the health and safety of the passengers but said nothing and done nothing when the student was assaulted.

The whole thing would have been over before it started if the student respected the Inspector and the other passengers on the train. All he had to do was get off the train or buy a ticket then chase up his alleged incorrect ticket later. Instead he opted to be a gobby little shit infront of women and children. If it was my Son there would be no way he would have behaved like that as he was brought up not dragged up.

People moan when the public walk past crimes being commited and this is a prime example why. Here's hoping the student gets tracked down by some Alam Pollocks mates and as he's getting a good kicking no one intervenes but waits until the Police arrive. I'm sure his parents will understand when no one comes to his assistance.

                                Load of bollocks.
He didn't "remove" him, he threw him on the ground causing a considerable amount of grazing to his face. That is assault no matter what "good cause" you are doing it in the name of. If I boot someone in the balls because he was getting cocky to an old lady, the fact that I was doing it for a good cause does not negate the fact that I committed a crime.

Unfortunately, he broke the law. You can't just chuck people about, no matter how much the little bastard was asking for it.
