she only did that for popularity votes, they all did pre-internet days. Now it is harder to hide the truth, propaganda is dead. She was probably the last one to succeed through war. Blair and Bush tried it, and what a balls up they made.
She is no worse, no better either than any. Churchill, hailed as a british hero was a c-unt too. But the days of hoodwinking common folk are long gone.
My grandad hated her with a vengeance, and if he said so, then that is the truth.

              Very true.

She would have been gone if it wasn't for the Falklands.

would love to know what people would of thought if she just left the argies to take the falklands, and what would of happened to the british people living there.

Since it was her government that withdrew the permanent Royal Naval presence there HMS Endurance, then the Argentinians probably thought we wouldn't be bothered. In other words they saw it as an invite. Had it not been withdrawn by the government then it's unlikely the Argentinians would have invaded, so in a way her government caused it anyway.

Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.

the people of the Falklands would have been repatriated to the UK, the same as the white farmers from Zimbabwe, when Mugabe kicked them out,
if this wasn't for popularity votes, then that means she cared more about 3.000 people living 7.700 miles away, than millions of UK citizens living in poverty within our own big city's.
and then as a thank you to the Chilean dictator Pinochet, for allowing us to use there radar system, she allows him to live in the UK, even though he was responsible for the disappearance of over 40.000 of his own citizens.

Spot on bulldog, you will find that her death will be celebrated in every true working class town and city across the land. I just hope she suffers immensly and dies in agony.

mugabe kicked them out?,i think it was a bit more forceful than a kick,at the end of the day the brits that were there wanted to stay there.the argies invaded,i doubt they would have stopped to let the brits go home.war was declared on our people, not like the joke tony blairs war.

The American senator Alexander haig was trying to solve it diplomatically suggesting joint sovereignty, and had warned the Argentinians that if civilians were killed the US would get involved,
I don't think you understand the rules of war, civilians are protected by the UN, so no civilians were at risk, even the British soldiers that were on the island were not harmed, and were even allowed back to there barracks to collect personal possessions before being locked up.
nor do I remember the Argentinians using civilians as human shields.

I appreciate this answer dingledangle. And I ain't sure what would of happened.

                            GastonJ gives a good reply.
But I aint sure what would of happened.. I don't think much. The Argies are a good set of people with decent morals and societies like our own. Never forget, that it was Thatcher that started the actual war, with the retreating Belgrano that she bombed. before that it was look at how big I am sticking my chest out between the two sides.
I still maintain Thatcher is a c-unt. And I dislike her, coz my grandad said so.
