Young generations must go for learning to school, old-fashioned school, like we did once one of us, the older around here.
I have a master in electronics and net had no contribuiton on that, net appeared after my finishing basic education.
Course net is very good, i learn lots of things now on the net, but for a basic education going to school is a must.
One must first learn to ride a cycle before ride a motorbike !
It`s just my humble opinion.

Agreed, freedom of speech has always, at best, been an illusion in Europe. About the only exception (until recently at least) seems to be the Murdoch controlled media !

This is definitely going to effect the use of internet, already signed the petition. Our Government has signed the pact behind our back. Our only hope is the Euro MPs to vote against.

granted there have been limits,,but compared to the rest of the world we have far greater freedom of speech,,trouble is those *****s that control the media and broadcasting wont give you the time of day unless you tow the line
but there are still many other outlets for people to say what they like and they do "internet" being 1,,,anyone can set up a blog and say what they like
ir wasnt long ago a certain cleric was out in the streets saying whatever he liked,so there is freedom of speech alive and well,for how long is anyones guess the way things arew going

Just like project Echelon then? Which the UK government do partake in and continue to do so despite being ruled illegal (from memory). This government, like all others, will pick and choose which laws it will or won't obey. Don't expect Euro MP''s to do anything of any use.
