Girls of 13 given birth control jab at school without parents? knowledge

Under the letter of the law it is still technically illegal but the girls 'consent' must be taken into consideration (13 and over a girl can technically give consent).e).

ON AND OFF TOPIC & ACCIDENTLY INVOLVES REGLIOUS VIEWS:-

So say a 12 and 13 year old are involved in an accident say, and they need some kind of emergency live saving, blood transfusion, but neither of their parents can be contacted, neither is aware about certain regloius groups don't do blood transfusions etc, and they say yes, get repiared, then what happens, as the parents go off their rocker when they find out?

I have 4 girls 1 boy....I would be horrified tbh if I found out my daughter was having contaception jabs at school...I would feel I totally let her down as it would mean she couldn't come ask me :-(

I have 3 girls over the age of 16 and all 3 have asked for the pill so I must have done something right hey...??

On the other hand if one of them did have the jabs at school I would be less horrified than her coming home to say she was pregnant...
My youngest daughter is 14 and one of the few virgins left in her year at school..Even worse this was a true fact 2 years ago...sad but this is the world of today I'm afraid....
I agree with Tshirtman to an extent and have never let my kids roam the streets and be out until all hours...Got to have some control of them its a horrible world out there...
For the record...When my boy is going out and about I WILL be giving him condoms as it works for lads too ;-))

I was specifically replying to your post regarding 'commiting offences'. As statutory rape would be the offence in question (its not actually called that in UK law but that name is descriptive enough) I answered accordingly by explaining why it is unlikely to apply in the majority of circumstances where the girl is 13 or over. I also explained why any Dr/Nurse is perfectly at liberty to treat girls over 12 in full confidentiality. The parents do not require to be consulted !

In those circumstances, a hospital/Dr will always act to save life. A religeous objection can only be taken into consideration if its made known prior to treatment
