Official: More English than Scots want independence for Scotland

If it happens, it happens. I do think that if it does that the Scottish government should not rely on the rest of the UK though so they need to set up their own:

Central Bank
Currency
Immigration and Passport Offices
DWP and collection/payment
HMRC and collection
Hospitals
Armed Forces
Highways agency
DVLA
DVLC
Telecoms/Internet infrastructure
Foreign offices and the structures that go with it, own embassies etc
TV and Radio stations that they pay for

and all the rest that goes with it at full cost, after all independence is just that, not some half ar$ed effort whereby they use the rest of the facilities they want to be independent of - after all that's what they're asking for. Though I'm unsure that's what the Scottish people want, but we'll know next year.

Just to say, I have nothing against Scotland or it's people, just those that use position to gain by independence which won't be the normal every day Scots.

I think the next year will open the eyes to how much the rest of the UK needs Scotland's resources. I'm keeping a relatively open mind until all the facts and figures come out but it does get annoying listening to London telling us we couldn't survive alone yet not saying why this is with hard facts. We listened to the Governemnt telling us for years we couldn't afford it yet a few years back when Government papers were released dating back to Harold Wilson years they disclosed that the UK Government would be up shit creek without our money. I wonder why I don't trust them now.
