Lottery scratch-cards are still on sale despite the fact that their ?100,000 prizes have already been won, it has been reported.
The ?2 cards, which promise customers the huge sums despite the fact the top five prizes have already been claimed, are still being sold in shops, supermarkets and petrol stations across the country.
National Lottery operator Camelot says that they red Cash cards can legally remain on sale, but the false promises they now represent has come under criticism.
Martin Lewis, of the Money Saving Expert website, told the Daily Mail he believed that the customers should either be warned about the situation or the cards should be withdrawn and replaced.
?I think many people playing would be disappointed to know there?s no chance of a dream win. With these cards, it truly could not be you,? he said.
