i have no feelings for maggie at all.only thing i do feel is a human being has died.her friends and family can deal with that, but i remember myself getting paid off when building trade went down tubes when maggie came in,and i remember the poll tax she hit the scots with, and i remember the big battles outside Bilston Glen pit when i was there...everyone can slag maggie now and feel good about it,but one sure thing she will meet us all eventualy.

sorry but got actual hate for the woman ..me dad was a miner to and his father and so on ..

seen alot of hard times as a youngin.. most people dont actually know how it was to live in poverty like she created.. no wor work . unemployment from 1 million to 5 million .

this is how desperate she was to beat the miners
Socialism Today - Miners strike revisited

she also , sent in the army dressed as coppers . to peaceful protest at the mines for which they would start of riots and try and blame on the miners .and threaten with jail .

cant remember which pit it was but 15 men were found not guilty, she played dirty ..
                  .
horrible horrble woman in my eyes ..

Looking at things another way maybe some should be gratefull that she changed the course of their lives. Before her if your Father was a Miner and your Grand father and Great Grandfather was, chances are you would be a minor. Now you can be a Teacher, Doctor, Engineer and so could your children.

or maybe the course of their lives and yours was wrecked by ripping the heart out of the community you was raised in,throwing your parents on the scrap heap, turning brother against brother and father against sons and landing people with criminal records and even prison sentences for doing no more than protesting and standing their ground.maybe certain doors where closed to you because although intelligent and capable of attending university it was no more than a pipe dream because the necessity to bring a wage home so yourself and younger siblings could at least survive was more more paramount than getting the opportunity to be photographed in a mortor board.maybe just maybe

I can only go by what i saw growing up in a south Lancaster mining town during the strike.Uncles friends coming home black and blue after being beaten by thatchers police/army,Brothers fathers sons still not speaking to each other due to this woman(still to this day), mass unemployed, suicides, families being put on the streets, riots. Then send our young lads half way across the world to die for some rock in the south Atlantic that no one had ever herd off just to win her the next election. The cover up behind hillsborough just shows how rotten and corrupt the whole government was at that time and she was the PM.

May she RIP. I left school with plenty of jobs to go into. We all owe her. She was the backbone of her nation when it couldnt be found elsewhere.

I never hugged him, I bombed him (Referring to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, specifically to pictures of Tony Blair embracing him)

                                Sir Alex Ferguson in 1988

"This isn't just a job to me." "It's a mission. I am deadly serious about it. Some people would reckon too serious. We will get there, believe me. And when it happens, life will change for Liverpool and everyone else - dramatically."
