I think as in Racism= Skin colour
Muslim does not necessarily mean different skin colour
I dont know what racism is tbf im unsure
EDL do have some valid points, as do BNP, Communism has some things that are good so do Nazi's. It all depends on how extreme it gets
Killing people of any race is wrong, thuggery is wrong it would be nice to all get along but to be fair its probably not going to happen.
The majority of all people are decent human beings, their are only a few who break the mould. When the mould is broken the stereotype comes out
Muslims = terrorist the same way as british abroad = hooligans
I treat everyone as i find them i know black/asian people who would rob their granny but i also know white english people who are the same, i like who i like race doesnt come into it
I do not think anyone should be deported and many muslims are great workers and a credit to society, but i do think they could do more to intergrate at times, but i suppose they think the same too
But i have to say that if my daughter or sons married an asian i wouldnt be best pleased, which probably makes me a racist in some peoples eyes, but i expect that most asian fathers hope their daughter doesnt marry some english chav either.
Thing with "racism" is if say an asian father was dead against my son marrying his daughter i would understand and not class it as such, but i suppose being white and doing the same thing i would be a "racist"
Although i dont see myself as one, but i do stereotype at times, but dont all nations
Do the french and germans not do it about us?? do asians not? Of course they do
Will it stop me doing Basil Fawlty style walks on holiday, no but treat everyone as you find then there is good and bad in allComment

Your displeasure at the possibility of your daughter meeting & marrying an Asian male is based on fear of her being treated unfairly due to religion. But if an Asian male is prepared to go against their parents in order to marry someone not of their faith, then it's fair to say that they're not going to be a hardline nutjob that we hear about in the media.
An old friend of mine ran off to marry someone we worked with. He didn't tell his parents until he was accepted into the armed forces. Even then, he was drunk & talking on the phone when he told them he married a white girl. Apparently it caused great shame on the family.
He still practiced his religion, as far as I'm aware, he was just more 'westernized' in his personality & behaviours.
It is true that that an Asian father would be more against his daughter seeing a white lad. Unless he himself stood against his parents to marry who he wanted, not who his parents had picked.
When it all comes down to grass level, we fear the loss of identity. To the non Islamic population we fear for the treatment of females within that faith. But to someone from an Islamic faith... their religion is their identity. This can also be said for many other religions... Catholics, Jews... those crazy scientologists. We all fear the influence of a 'foreign' ideologies.Canker

Fascism or communism they are both the same you get 1 dictator ie hitler or stalin both kill off any body who do not agree with them
both take from the poor and give to there mates and in the last century Communism killed at least twice the amount of innocent people than fascism
So why is it that in this country nobody shouts about the communists but do about facistsComment

Things have changed a lot over the last few years it wasnt that long ago women were sending daughters away when pregnant and pretending they were theirs so not to bring shame on the family. Its a similar thing but it will probably be the norm in 50 years things just take time.
Time changes opinions, and things become more acceptable but is it always for the best?
We may end up with a society at war, if more people follow the muslim fanatics then this will mean more people going the way of edl.
