It seems that the warmongers have been halted in the UK for a while, it seems that Ed asked for evidence from the UN inspectors meanwhile the warmongers are busy saying how convinced they are without the evidence of the UN inspectors:

David Cameron said he was convinced the Assad regime was behind the attack and there was a "clear legal basis" for targeted strikes to save lives.
BBC News - Syria crisis: David Cameron's plea to MPs over evidence

He must have been stood there and watched who launched them himself to have the evidence, shame that the UN hasn't finished it's collection and analysis of evidence yet. Maybe he should show us the photographs. Perhaps Dave is hoping to "do a Maggie" and looks upon Syria as the Falklands - perhaps the difference needs to be pointed out. Falklands, British business, Syria not.

*If* it turns out it was the rebels, or even al qaeda, throwing in chemical weapons to involve the west in a civil war on their side rather than the Syrian Government throwing them, I look forward to seeing the action he'll take, or will it all quietly be forgotten....

Forgot to add the flimsy report which is Dave's 'case' for trying to make a name for himself (I've got quite a few names for him, but won't use them here)

However, although wanting the UN to create a resolution to allow him to attack, he's saying it's not needed and he'll be able to attack anyway:

If action in the Security Council is blocked, the UK would still be permitted under international law to take exceptional measures in order to alleviate the scale of the overwhelming humanitarian catastrophe in Syria by deterring and disrupting the further use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime.
UN or no UN he's determined to get people killed *shrug*

I can bet high up in the intelligence services there will be rock solid proof who did it. A lot of evidence isn't shown as some muppets will put it all over the press giving the enemy info as to who and where the info came from. You can put money on undercover operatives working on both sides passing info back to the relevant Governments.

I didn't realise 'we' were taking sides and that there was an enemy. There was me thinking it was all in the cause of being "humanitarian" as Dave says. If there is an enemy it's name is probably "greed", but I'll settle for it being the ones who released the gas.... when the proof is provided. Until then you have to keep an open mind, I'm sure some Organisations would like to see the US and UK involved in the civil war just to help them out - regardless of how they involve "us". Who's got most to gain by throwing gas around, the Syrian government (who happen to be winning) or those that are losing? Call me suspicious if you will, but if I were losing a sure way to get the UK and US on your side is to accuse the other side of doing something they shouldn't.

Oh yes, and if they do get involved they need to be careful where they throw the cruise missiles, the Russian Navy just happens to be parked in Syrian harbors....

Anyway, either way looks like Dave is determined to get involved, and why not it's not he who will die or put his life in danger now is it.

As GastonJ said (GREED) Syrian civil wars my arse, the west arming the rebels, Al Qaeda, Al-Nusra Front in a foreign country to topple Assad, rebels were did they came from they not Syrians killing Syrians and for what reason?

Why asad govt have to use gasn knowingly the UN will start war? And since when does the American government and Israel abide by any international laws??

Turkish security forces found a 2kg cylinder with sarin gas after searching the homes of Syrian militants from the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front who were previously detained, Turkish media reports. The gas was reportedly going to be used in a bomb, why the UN did not take action?

What happens if the UN declares that the rebels used the the gas what action the UN will take??

That is my question as well I bet they have an egg on face moment if that's the case. It's why people wait to see evidence, not guesswork. I'm sorry people are dying and I have every sympathy for them, but us bombing the f**k out of Syria if we're wrong would make us war criminals surely? So Dave lost his vote, he'd best get used to it....

"US Secretary of State John Kerry has said Syrian government forces killed 1,429 people in a chemical weapons attack near Damascus last week. Mr Kerry said the dead included 426 children, and described the attack as an "inconceivable horror"

UN chemical weapons inspectors are investigating the alleged poison-gas attacks and will present their evidence to the UN after they leave Damascus on Saturday.

John Kerry says the US has evidence that the Syrian government killed 1,429 people in last week's poison-gas attack in Damascus.

Perhaps he should come forward as a witness since he "knows" they did it despite UN weapons inspectors not having finished their investigation. Arrogant ahole American, sorry for those decent Americans who would like evidence before they start blaming, bombing and killing people...

[QUOTE=GastonJ;2077496]That is my question as well QUOTE]

The question was what happens if the UN declares the foreign-backed militants in Syria were responsible for gas attack, what action should be taken? Depends if the west are supporting rebels your guess is good as mine, did the UN take any action when Sadam used chemical weapons on Kurdish people in Halabja in 1988 when 3,200 and 5,000 people were killed?

                    ON TOPIC:-

Sorry is there a youtube link for this thread, struggling to figuer it out, so can somebody correct if i get this wrong.

Some country called "Syphilis" 'fired' chemical weapons wiping out 1,429 potentional DK members.

So one would assume the chemicals were contained in glass containers, so they break and leak yeah?

                    So this bloke
, our leader of the ****ry hqdefault.jpg

Is wanting to go to war with the above mentioned country, yeah?

So Mr Edd fires his peashooter, just as the bad bloke is holding a chicken in the air with one hand and one of these glass containers in his other hand, then just as he is about to stick a deck chair up his nose, he drops the glass and BAM more future DK members written off?

Well NATO has said it won't have a go. The UN is waiting for evidence, it's only those warmongers who seem to want to join in before the investigation has finished. I seem to recall the last time that happened we jumped into Iraq. I seem to recall those in power in the UK had plenty to say when no WOMD were found. I've read the UK governments assessment and now the US one:

Government Assessment of the Syrian Government?s Use of Chemical Weapons on August 21, 2013 | The White House

I've not seen any evidence in either document - though I have seen lots of assumptions. I still can't think why, if the Syrian government were winning, why they'd chuck out a few chemical bombs knowing it would pull the rest of the world in against it - more so since the UN inspectors were there at the time, makes no sense at all. The US, UK, France (who always join the winning side anyway) and co jumped onto blaming the Syrian government before the inspection is over and without evidence.

Wait for the evidence then kick the crap out of whoever dropped the gas - sensible option, Syria isn't going to disappear off the face of the planet while the inspectors carry out their investigation is it (well unless the US gets it's way).

President Barack Obama says the US should take military action against Syria and he will seek congressional authorisation for intervention.
and he doesn't have to ask them....

Since Obama has now said he'd go to Congress and let them vote - it could be they've found out that it was Assad who chucked out the chemicals. Obama's best way out is the same as Dodgy Dave's was and that Congress don't support him. That way if the UN declare the rebels threw in the chemical weapons he can say his hands are tied.... More to this than they're mouthing off about.

Been reading an article this morning most secured prison breaks in the last two months and I could not stop laughing.

Is this a co-incident? Not a single prisoner has been caught yet.

AFGHANISTAN, Taliban Prison Break Sets Hundreds Free at Afghan Prison jail breaks

PAKISTAN, Taliban free nearly 250 in Pakistan jail break

IRAQ, Al Qaeda says it freed 500 inmates in Iraq jail-break

Those prisons are worlds most secured prisons in the world was this an inside job? I would not be surprise if all of them been sent fighting in Syria?
