It's probably unfair to give the Conservatives credit but the improvements I've seen over the last three years has been my Mortgage payments have vastly reduced so I've more money to spend. I'm not worried about house prices dropping as I've no intention of moving. The goods that I buy tend to be cheaper as competition for customers has increased. My car insurance has dropped. My job is more secure now as the competitors can't afford the training or tools to do my job. When I want service from someone instead of fobbing me off they now do the job as they could be out on their arse if they don't. There's probably a lot more but what's someone's negative can sometimes be someone's positive.

read in the paper today (i know before you say it) that 631,000 public sector jobs have gone with another 400,000 forecast to go by 2015. so we've saved on their wages but lost their tax and n.i. contributions and also any money they spent. not only a tragedy for the people and their family's but surely to the wider community as well. cant see the logic myself
