      Apart from being OT

So we save ?12billion by not being in the EU? The ?12 billion is the cost of being in the EU, you have the facts to back up the cost of leaving, such as how much it would cost in jobs, in paper pushers and solicitors to make up for not adopting EU regs, the cost of any tarifs imposed, the loss in exports, the extra cost to imports maybe? Even Farage the tw@ won't say how much it will cos, and yes I've asked. He wants to write him a blank cheque.

Why not just add a 'NHS Tax' onto private health insurance policies. Since those that are coming up with these ideas all have private insurance, make them pay for it.

Thing is we already pay for it tax and NI. If the government charged everyone a tenner a month they'd just take taht money back off the NHS and it would be swallowed up in admin fees and the NHS wouldn't benefit anyway. The only thing that would be achieved is a new "tax" and the government could make claims they have provided the NHS with more funding when they haven't.

It just serves to give everyone the the perception of the government 'giving' more money when in reality they haven't. I hasten to add that would be the same for any government who introduced it not just the losers we have in atm.
