You'll likely find that keeping your wifi secure for your internet is in the AUP that you signed with your ISP. Though this from memory has never been tested in court - it would cost you money to get there to disprove it. Civil matters don't include the "beyond any shadow of a doubt" the same as criminal cases from recollection.Stock in the shops has already been paid for by the retailer. So the rights holders don't care about shop lifting, it doesn't effect their profits.
By the sounds of it, if you're unlucky, you'll get some letters from your ISP asking you to use Itunes or Amazon. But nothing else will happen.
An easy way around any type of legal action.... You keep your router on the window sill. Anyone passing could read your access code & use your internet.
Only use one pc/laptop/tablet/phone for your naughty downloads. Just make sure there are no personal details kept on it or the phone/tablet is registered to someone else.
It wasn't me, someone hacked our internet. My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.

There are those that I like, those I don't like & some I don't know but those I like don't like.
The small amount of downloading I do is through those I don't like & those I don't know but are not liked by those I do know & like.
Now that I've confused everyone except Meaty.....
Why pay for something you can get free?
Isn't that the whole problem with trying to combat illegal downloading.Canker
