The last day of tax discs, tomorrow they're gone. However I do wonder why car salesmen/forecourts haven't kicked up a fuss, or have I missed something that perhaps someone knows.
When buying a car the only way to tax it is going to be at the post office, so DVLA say. If I buy a car from a on a Saturday afternoon or on a Sunday you'll have to wait until Monday to be able to pick up the car and drive it? Why haven't car salesrooms kicked up a fuss?
Are they on a percentage of fines from DVLA for fitting ANPR cameras outside the forecorts on a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday picking off those people who buy cars on those days? Perhaps a share of the extra fine revenue?
Won't it kill weekend car sales?
Will it make more car salesman unemployed so they'll have to clean up parks after 6 months?
Is Dave going to be broke in his 'real job' as a second hand car salesman without weekend sales......
Anyone?
