"Campaigners across the country have been fighting to keep libraries threatened by cuts open to the public"
I suppose closing libraries are a sensible target if Councils are to save money, because they?re not essential...

to follow them. No need for libraries if you've burnt all the books, and since there are no books you won't need schools to teach people to read... and so it goes.

And when I have seen library users..they’re playing with computers and not reading books... You’re right though, saving on council spending will never reduce council tax bills.... and savings will usually be spent on some other crap...at least when Hull bought the stupid TV, some private contractors would’ve got the work installing it...work shared to the private sector.. Anyway, I’m delighted to hear of library closures.. rather have money spent on some other crap.
