SWEEPING powers to end Britain's 24-hour booze culture will be unveiled today.

Local people will get new rights to oppose late-night pubs and clubs - even if they do not live near them.
Councils will be able to impose "traditional" opening times again in areas plagued by drunken violence.
And there will be a ban on supermarkets and shops selling alcohol below cost price.
Home Secretary Theresa May will also promise a rethink of powers to crackdown on anti-social behaviour.
She will pledge a new crusade to tackle the boozed-up yobs who terrorise towns and cities.
Mrs May will say: "The benefits promised by the 24-hour drinking 'caf? culture' have failed to materialise and in its place we have seen an increase in the number of alcohol-related incidents and drink-fuelled crime and disorder."
Home Office figures show there were around one million drink-related crimes last year.
Late-night pubs and clubs will pay for the cost of extra policing in the early hours.
And fines for selling drink to kids will double to ?20,000.
