    APPLE?S I ON A WAR

APPLE is set to ignite a smartphone price war.

Sources said the global tech firm is testing a model that will cost ?125 without a contract, compared with its iPhone4, which sells for around ?400.

It hopes to lure customers planning to invest in Google?s Android system.

Charlie Wolf, an analyst for US firm Needham, said: ?Instead of targeting 25% of the global mobile phone market,

Apple would be going after 100%.?

It would be interesting to see what people will get for their ?125.

Simple maths would point to a phone that's a quarter of an iphone4. But given all the problems they have had with their top of the range handset, I'll not be holding my breath in anticipation

I've heard that Steve Jobs is in hospital with only his iPad to comfort him, I've decided to release the cure for pancreatic cancer into the public domain.

        But only in Flash.
