The Scottish champions being knocked out of the preliminary rounds over 2 legs by Malmo?
Many first team players from the major Scottish clubs could not even make it in the English Championship.

No good having a go at Scotland for the lack of money compared with England. Remember, Sky throw buckets of money at the EPL compared with the SPL
Setanta tried its best but failed.
Ain't no Billionaire owners of SPL clubs either that can afford to pay more than 30-40,000 p/w wages too (only really 2 teams that can do that).
Youth and academy players are the only way to go for most clubs but, it will take a bit of time before we see the change it makes.
