The middle east is not relevent to this thread in any way. I have been on here for long enough to know that Celtic or Rangers threads can get emotive enough, without bringing the middle east into it and I'm sure you know that as well.

Getting back on thread. I have tremendous respect for Neil Lennon and think he could be an excellent manager, but I think he may have got the Celtic job too soon. He was also taking over at a time when Celtic had not won the league for a few yrs, were quite away behind an average rangers team and was told he had to reduce the wage bill and he had no money to spend unless he sold. A dificult job, maybe not ideal for a roockie.

Well i think lennons very close to chucking it all in. Today in the sunday mail he says he will name and shame the players who are passengers and killing celtics title hopes and threatening his job. This is the first time i can remember lennon criticising his team in public, but what has to be remembered is that he brought these players in and its quiet right its his head in the chopping block. His name has been mentioned for the leicester job so perhaps hes working his ticket out.

why did he come out with statements this is only the beginning talking should be done on the park. The players he has were picked by him, Celtic have spent more money than Rangers in the last two years. Fact Ally McCoist is a rookie manager with no money to spend and at this time he is doing the better job in a Shabby SPL.

Shows you how ill-informed some football supporters are... Fact -

                  Season 2010-11 Tranfers Spend;-

Celtic Total Spend ?9.6 mill, Total Sales ?15.9 mill =
                  Net Spend ?-6.3 mill

Rangers Total Spend ?5.95 mill, Total Sales ?4.4 mill =
                  Net Spend ?1.55 mill

                  Season 2011-12 Transfers Spend;-

Celtic Total Spend ?3.1 mill, Total Sales ?1 mill =
                  Net Spend ?2.1 mill

Rangers Total Spend ?3.92 mill, Total Sales ?1.7 mill =
                  Net Spend ?2.22 mill

So to conclude, Celtic have not spent more than rangers in the last 2 seasons.. quite the opposite actually... Lennon has net spent minus ?4.2 mill over the last 2 years. Compared with rangers net spend of ?3.77 mill (?7.97 mill more).

This from a rangers club who are broke!!? That may be one reason why they are in such financial difficulty??

Rumours in the papers were that Leicester were interested in him as manager, but probably just paper talk.

No cost You wait and see. Thonly thing youve got to smile about so far this season is RFC's situation with finance. Says a lot really. We got more than that. A 55th league title

Rangers are still doing their talking on the park. I see you corrected me on the totals spent by each club, but have not commented on the fact that Ally is doing the better job , so I would take it you agree with me.

Motherwell have certainly spent less than Celtic and are going realy well at the minute.

                            Cmon the Well....................

Yes, I've corrected you because you were incorrect. But to be fair you are not the only rangers fan who beleives that Celtic have spent millions more than rangers in the last few years. Perhaps it's because you're used to rangers spending "?10 to Celtic's ?5"????

May I remind you that no trophies are won in Oct or Nov. Though you can lose the chance of winning certain trophies. The big spending Sally has managed to get rangers knocked out of 3 competitions already. Whilst a stuttering Celtic are still in all 4 competitions entered. Food for thought....

Food for thought. You keep playing in the league the way you have. Rangers win the league and you may even come 3rd or maybe 4th.

I can guarantee you Celtic wont be winning the league this year

Anyway enough of that chat. We can only wait and see the outcome of Rangers finance. But i dont think administration is one of them.
