Finally a post that carries some sanity to the thread.
Lennon to go ? Not this season, he has had his problems in the league, but theres still a long way to go. Still very well placed in Europe and the Cup, I don't think he can have too many more slip ups, but to be fair to him, he has had a lot of injuries to key players. Do I think he's the right man for the job ? No, I'd like a top manager, but realistically what top manager is going to go to the SPL, that being the case I'm happy enough with Lennon, a young passionate manager who may well turn out to be top class.'If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.'

Todays match will have a big say on whether lennon stays or goes. To fall further behind rangers at this stage is unaceptable and celtic managers have been sacked for less in the past. More importantly to fall six points behind motherwell who would be six ahead of celtic and in second place is unnaceptable too. The more i speak to my friends who are celtic fans the more they are getting fed up with the way the the team is playing and the basic schoolboy defending. Neil lennon has certainly got his act together this season with the way he cunducts himself as a manager and with his media image but it does look like something is happening behind the scenes and he just cant get his team to play for him this season.Comment

i like lennon even though hes a cantankerous wee bugger.
hes got balls
he MAY one day turn out to be a top top manager, but unfortunately there is very little time given to Old Firm managers because the fans think they deserve instant success which IMO is wrongComment

Ah well the lennon haters will have to wait another week as the celts ground out a favourable result against a motherwell team that where up for it.I see there was dummy spitting, name calling war comments that got deleted so a big thanks to the mods for keeping thread on topic. As the saying goes calm down dears its only a game.sigpicSubbuteo say no to newcoComment

One thing about Lennon, he keeps bouncing back ! Tough game today with some awful tackles from Murderwell going unpunished but Lenny's men came through with the points. Now if he can start getting the injured players back in the squad there is no reason why they can't turn the season back in their favour.'If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.'

My last word on it - I suggest the ones who want to make this into a sectarian slanging match stay away. You know who you are.Comment

Thats because its mainly use lot that do the sectarian singing.
and blessing your self is a crime
Any Lennon is still here after a hard fought game today, and hopefully we can start getting some players back to claw back in to the league.Comment

hate to go off topic again and get post deleted ...but...
with regard to sectarian singing...
last week the celtic fans had a "kill the bill" demo in George Square regarding the scottish parliaments stance on sectarian songs..on the very same day the self same "fans" at celtic park let loose with their renditions of "the boys from the old brigade" and "soldiers song" which was clearly broadcast on TV ...double standards..yet again...and all this from the self professed greatest fans in the world......

Please keep it on topic lads, if you forget what it's about then just look at the title to remind yourselves.
THE TRUTH
The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12
Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.Comment

Would you class the flower of Scotland to be sectarian ?
As long as we dont get out of hand let the thread slide a bit, you have got to remember the whole celtic rangers thing is massive with lots of different views.
So as long as we keep it civil then let it be.
political songs do not mean anti race religion creed or colour.
Hence why celtic do not get done for sectarian chanting and rangers do.
All songs related to fighting the English just like the flower of Scotland.
The only difference is we find the later sociable acceptable thats all.Comment

I liked Lennon as a player but I wasn't so keen on his appointment as manager. I reckon he is too friendly with the players and between him and his staff there's no coaching experience there, just jobs for his old mates.
Can't see him getting sacked as I don't see any likely replacements, it wouldn't surprise me if he was still there next season. Good results or bad, who would replace him?
On a lighter note, this morning we were 15pts behind, when we win our game in hand it will only be 9pts behind which is enough to see us go top of the league when the initial 10pt penalty kicks in at iBrokes
