i think if he puts gerrard in alonso place and babel in gerrards place, thats the winning formula.

We LFC fans may have to deal with the reality that maybe our squad played to its absolute maximum in the league last season. Just look at the gulf in ability on both benches the other day:
Spurs bench: Cudicini, Hutton, Bentley, Pavlyuchenko, Crouch, Naughton, O'Hara.
Liverpool bench: Cavalieri, Voronin, Benayoun, Spearing, Kelly, Dossena, Ayala.
Three unproven youngsters, a keeper that has never played and two donkeys.
We needed to buy four or five top class players this summer. Rightback, Midfielder, Winger and a Forward plus something different off the bench. Last season we had a run of 0-0's that cost us the league. This year we may be too far off long before Aquilani gets off his wheelchair.Comment
