do not really care if he stays or goes to be honest,i did like the way he asked for his club fine to be donated to the Hillsborough fund whilst not offering to match his fine with the same self donation, awesome player agreed but best in league by far is a big statement to make,it does prove though that being blessed with such brilliance does not polish the turd.

The FA has released the following statement:
Luis Suarez has been suspended for a total of 10 matches after an Independent Regulatory Commission today ruled on a charge of violent conduct.
A three-person Independent Regulatory Commission today upheld The FA's claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three. The suspension begins with immediate effect.
This follows an incident with Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday's fixture at Anfield (21 April 2013).
The Liverpool forward had accepted a charge of violent conduct but had denied The FA's claim that the standard three-match sanction was insufficient for the offence.
The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed.
Suarez has until 12pm on Friday 26 April to appeal the additional suspension, above the standard three matches.

Liverpool Football Club has today commented on the decision to ban Luis Suarez for 10 games following the incident with Branislav Ivanovic during the game against Chelsea on April 21, 2013.
Suarez took swift action on Sunday to make an unreserved apology for his behaviour and accepted the charge of violet conduct from the FA.
LFC managing director Ian Ayre said: "Both the club and player are shocked and disappointed at the severity of today's Independent Regulatory Commission decision.
"We await the written reasons tomorrow before making any further comment."

He shouldn't have done what he did no doubt about it, but you telling me it's worse then breaking someone leg, elbowing someone. If your talking about previous didn't Roy Keane have previous when he broke ALf Inge Haarlands leg? didn't Balotelli have previous when he stamped on Parkers head? Neither got as much as this.
What's the FA saying biting is worse then racism?????????

Maybe his previous for racism has had a bearing on this? He has done it before also.
I'm not gonna get into a debate about other incidents, Roy Keane was bang wrong with Alfie and so on. But maybe the FA need to get some kind of structure on these kind of incidents.sigpic

I think 10 games is ok, considering the timing, and the bastard FA in general. I was expecting 12 games minimum.
That said, This season is a write off anyway, so its 4 games of this campaign, 6 of next season, one of which is a cup game, so 5 important PL games he will miss really.
Thats not too bad to be honest because what he did was very out of order, but he would have to strangle someone to death on the pitch to warrant selling the loco bastard.
Borini & Sturridge can hold the fort for 5 games no problem. Plus who knows, we may just sign some wonderkid striker from the continent.
I am obsessed with Liverpool Football Club, I think you are too !

Its a shame the guy has some really good footballing skills, and he stands out in an average team imo. but to go biting someone in a 2nd offence and complain about a 10 match ban shows that he is not that intelligent at all. Most of us thought a 12 match ban was a minimum punishment.
If i acted like that at work i would immediately be suspended, and then sacked at my hearing.
I would like to wager that in the very near future the guy gets in trouble for racism again as he will never learn.
If Liverpool football club had done the right thing and acted straight away and gave him a heavy fine as well as a lengthy ban , i bet he would of got off much lighter, but they didnt , so now more press attraction, and more he will be scrutinised in the future.
Remember back at the Cantona situation, the club acted immediately , giving him a severe punishment, then the police were more lenient.

no liverpool supporter would defend suarez's actions on sunday but double standards by the FA is what p***** us off, and yes we are referring to the jermaine defoe incident whos 'cheeky' character made him bite mascherano's arm and got away with a yellow card, suarez should'v been rightly banned but a 5/6 game ban was more than sufficient, i bet if it was rio 'crackpot' ferdinand or any utd player purple nose would have something to say about it, cantona got a 8 match ban for a assault of a fan suarez got 8 game ban for 'racism' somehow i cant agree that this offence was any worse than the othersComment
