Why do i smell a rat before the new Hillsborough inquest opens next month. I received a phone call out of the blue on Thursday morning from someone from the coroners office asking if they could visit me and go over my original statement with me to see if anything had been altered or if there was anything that i remembered that wasn't in there.

I was visited by two people on Friday and they were here for just under three hours. I don't want to go into the statement except to say some of the most significant events of the day didn't appear on the statement. Now i think the reason for this may have been that i didn't read every word in my statement and just signed each page believing everything i said had been written down.

Anyway i sat there and read my statement again and it was like it was only yesterday everything came flooding back and it was a nightmare. The thing that hit me right between the eyes was the amount of times i was asked how much i had to drink, did i see anyone causing trouble or fighting, did i see anyone drinking alcohol and being aggressive, Was anyone drinking alcohol in the ground etc. I didn't realize at the time just how many times they asked me about alcohol consumption. Looking at it now it was clear what they wanted to blame for the disaster and they went at it full steam to accuse us of being ticketless drunken thugs. That shit stuck for 23 years until the Hillsborough independent panel finally cleared us of any blame. (Read my sig which will stay there until justice has been done) Thank god the vast majority of people believe the report but there are always some who would argue we were still to blame. Mainly people who weren't there and all whose sole argument is based on old newspaper cuttings fom the s*n etc.

I sat down and made an additional statement and made sure everything was written down as it should have been. Then i was browsing some sites and i found this

I don't know why i hadn't seen it before but i hadn't. After reading it i can't help thinking that despite the evidence from the Taylor report and the HIP these fkers will do everything to lay the blame once again on the fans and those bastards Duckensfield Bettison and the others will walk away scott free.

I hope to god i'm wrong but everytime we are in reach something else happens.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

They're going to make themselves look absolute ****s, they tried this shite 24 years ago and it stuck, briefly. They must have some pretty good evidence to throw this about now, evidence so good they decided not to release it to the Taylor enquiry, so good they decided not to release it to the HIP, so good they've sat on it for 24 years, or maybe, just maybe they have nothing else to cling to so are lashing out with the same old shite that's been discredited twice already.

Let them bring it, then publicly they can be asked why they tested blood alcohol levels in dead children aged 10 years old.

They won't walk free, Thatcher is dead, the Murdoch empire has been exposed for what it is, an establishment that prints lies and hacks the phones of dead children for stories, everything Duckensfield Bettison and Middup had to protect them in 89 has either been shown up for what it truly is, or they are now dead themselves. Their time will come, shortly, they'll be exposed in a very public arena for what they did, not just on the day but also for what they did after. From feeding Whites newsagency lies to pressuring their own force to change hundreds of statements.

        They're on borrowed time

Job done today, looked really dodgy at the back and midfield went missing in periods until Allen came on in the second half thought he did well, can't play like that against the Saints, but main thing was getting the 3 points.

We have scored 70 goals this season more then any other side 1 more then City.

Scrappy win. Why does Liverpool struggle against Swansea? Just happy they got the 3 points.

defending today at times was shambolic, agger off again injured. i think its time to move him on and give the other lads a chance 206 appearances in 8 years speaks for itself

got to agree m8, skirtle too. don't know how many warnings we've had about him dragging opponents but a penalty has been on the cards for ages. only positive is that all titles come on the back of scrappy wins. fingers and everything crossed of course

Liverpool 4 Swansea City 3: 'We will never play the Chelsea way,' claims Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers

'I?m not satisfied just grinding out results,' Liverpool manager says after 4-3 thriller

The Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers tonight declared that grinding out a Premier League title like Chelsea is a strategy the club will never employ under his leadership, after their attacking outlook led them to another high-scoring win which exposed severe defensive frailties.

Rodgers admitted after the 4-3 win over Swansea City that the defenders he has inherited were ?uncoachable? in some of their weaknesses but insisted that he would never sacrifice the free-scoring culture which has now seen his players overtake Manchester City?s 69-goal tally and move within four points of Jose Mourinho?s side.

?I think it?s not our style,? said Rodgers, whose side have kept only four Premier League clean sheets since the 1-0 victory over Manchester United on 1 September. ?I worry always to play good football. I?m not one who is totally satisfied to always just grind out results. It is about winning and that?s what professional sport is about at this level. But for us I will always concentrate on performance because I think that the consequence of performing well consistently is getting results and this season we?ve shown that. We?ve shown that when we play well we get the win.?

While they are the Premier League?s top scorers, of the top 11 clubs only Newcastle United have conceded more goals than Liverpool.

Rodgers admitted that had he replaced Daniel Agger with Kolo Tour?, just past the hour, simply because the Dane had been unable to match the physical threat of Wilfried Bony, who had not scored a Premier League goal on English soil until his penalty took the score to 3-3. Asked if the error-prone Tour? had made a difference, Rodgers replied: ?We won 4-3? so??

Skrtel was lucky to receive only a yellow card when the referee Mike Jones awarded the questionable penalty and Rodgers said of his players? failure to defend ?anywhere near well enough? that ?you can?t coach? them out of such misdemeanours.

?The problem is that it?s not coaching,? he said. ?Some of the things we conceded goals in you can?t coach that. There?s a feel when you?re in the game of how to defend and you have to use that experience to be able to defend properly.?

Nevertheless bookmakers had Rodgers? side at 1-8 for a Champions League return, as they eased six points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham and 11 ahead of Manchester United in sixth ? and Rodgers acclaimed his team?s attacking display. It included the excellent midfield contributions of Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling, and goals which took Daniel Sturridge to 18 Premier League goals in as many starts. He has now scored in eight successive Premier League games for the club.

Rodgers admitted that the nervousness in his defenders permeated to other departments. High-scoring wins ? 3-2 at Fulham and 5-3 at Stoke City to cite two others from the past six weeks ? are ?not planned,? he insisted. ?We concede poor goals, which is not so [much] structural as mistakes or decision making, which costs us. We will continue to work on that side of it. The balance in our training is very much equal in relation to our pressing, defensive mentality and also our offensive side.?

Rodgers said his former Swansea captain Garry Monk had transformed the side from the one passed on to by him by the recently dismissed Michael Laudrup. Swansea?s performance ? including a superb display by Leon Britton, who did not always feature for Laudrup ? is one they would have been incapable of three weeks ago, Rodgers said.
