To find out why many lifelong Liverpool fans look on in dismay and utter boredom at our team these days:

1) Count the number of times Carra and Agger lookup see no midfield and launch it 50 yards. Giving away possession.

2) Count the number of times the ball goes back to Reina and he has no option but to hoof it. Again no midfield looking for the ball.

3) Count the number of passes Liverpool put together compared to Lyon.

We are almost like a better quality Wimbledon with a better striker and a bigger fan base

We started to play a bit in the final 20mins of the first half...before that it was back to front missles up to Torres. When I posted we were pretty awful.

I tend to judge Liverpool against the Liverpool sides I have watched over 30 years...probably too harshly

Kuyt - Unlucky to be tipped over

some of the passing and control was awful.. Kuyt has the touch of a ten yard pass, Voronin is a joke full stop..

For a must win game a large number of players didn't seem up for it.. massive lack of passion.. but it doesnt matter they can still pick their ?60k+ up on Friday..

We didnt win because we made very few chances and the ones we did were ballooned..

Worked hard.. ran lots.. end product.. NOTHING - AGAIN..

A 1-0 win wasnt enough.. it needed to be a 2-0 (or two clear goals) to put the group in our hands..

For a game that had to be won by two clear goals to put us in charge of our own destiny, that display was garbage

I just thought we were unlucky. They had one chance and scored because of piss poor defending by us. If it wasn't for the defending of the goal, we would have won and been three points behind both Fiorentina and Lyon .

the result was so bad in a night which offered a few plus points..

i'm no lucas fan and i think he typifies the level of player we have at the moment, but he had a good solid game with Mascherano, who showed a lot of class..

I just dont know why we have to stick with this 4-4-1-1 all the time.. we have no plan b when it doesn't work.. Ngog has been playing well off his goal against Man Utd, he would have offered a lot more as a second striker for Torres than Voronin offered in the 'Gerrard' role..

That Kyrgiakos is garbage, my mate told me that the minute we signed him and he's a Rangers fan..

got to admit i watched a bit of your game yesterday and i hate myself sometimes because i flicked it on to see how you were getting on it was 0-0 i thought ~~~~in great i will watch these go out

then quick as a flash ~~~~in babel scored so i was sick as ~~~~ and turned it off it always seems to happen to me every ~~~~ing time i flick the tv on to watch you lot get beat you score almost straight away i am your lucky omen i shud of learnt by now never ever switch the tv on till its finished it wasnt gerrard who won you the fa cup against west ham or the champions league final it was me turning on the tv im ~~~~ing jinxed it happens everytime

anyway rambling now it was a nice surprise to see they had equalized when i looked at the scores l8r its not looking good lads

btw on a serious note if you dont qualify for the second stage and city nick your fourth spot at the end of the season will you go bust
