Andy Carroll is 6/1 to score the first goal in the Carling Cup Final.. For those that don't understand odds, that means if you bet ?10 you will lose ?10

Also sorry to all Everton fans.. Your February cup final has been rescheduled due to a legitimate Cup Final at Wembley

Great win even thou Downing and Henderson were sh*t. What are the odds Downing scores the first goal of the Carling Cup? 1000 to 1? I can't believe this is the first trip for Liverpool to the new Wembley and rightly so. The players deserve all the credit for the win. Kenny Daglish deserves none. Did you see how he had the players setup with Kuyt pairing with Bellamy and Henderson out right. That would never work that is why Kuyt just moved to the right and Henderson went more of a central role. Lets not get all feeling great. Remember this is the Carling Cup! I would rather have 4th place any day than winning a trophy of melted down silver spoons. Winning this won't attract the talent Liverpool need to someday win the title and CL. I know some won't like what i have to say but get over it and focus on what the club needs to go.

Do you not think that being back at Wembley for the first time since 1996, and more than a chance of winning the cup, isn't a step forward in getting better players by WINNING A ~~~~IN TROPHY?

If your praising the players the manager deserves just as much credit, he picks the team and tactics and he's the one who takes the most stick from fans/media etc so he deserves all the applauds he's getting. His criticism after the Bolton game was deserved and gave them the kick up the a55 they deserved, now im not saying where the finished article far from it, but give credit where credits due KD deserves that much.

I think it's great Liverpool is back at Wembley. But let me say if Kenny said in the beginning that the Carling Cup was the main objective what would you think? Its a nice thing to win and I'm all for things like the Carling Cup and The FA cup but over time these things became second rate next to playing in Europe and winning the league title. I can't even remember who won it last year? To me it's like Kenny wanted to win this more than anything since as a player he won it 4 times in a row. I don't get that. Oh and by the way winning the Carling Cup isn't going to attract world class players to the club. Only playing in the CL will bring them. It's sad how things turned out but it is what it is.

I don't think he deserves much. Come on he praised that loser Downing after the Bolton game then started him. Enrique made all the runs down the left against ManCity and Downing stood around with his finger up his arse. All the credit is on certain players cause they had to overcome Downing Adam and Henderson being on the pitch. as far as Kenny goes sometimes a blind squirrel finds the nut too.

it's always "only the Carling Cup" or "Mickey Mouse Trophy" when your team isn't in it..

So your saying its all luck we've got to a final, bet your one of the same numpties who said the same about Rafa when he won us the CL.

KD deserves all the credit hes getting for getting us there, now we need to win it and get a top 4 spot and if we do that's a brilliant season for us.

Yes it is great The main objective this season is hopefully a CL spot and then build from there for next season. If the chance of a trophy comes along, that's there for the taking too.

Compare where the team was going with Hodgson and what Kenny has done since then . Players will see that if Liverpool win the Carling Cup, whether it's Sky News or Sky Sports News reporting it etc., they're on the right road back to winning ways again and be more likely to agree on joining.

Thus (pardon the pun) keep the ball rolling in the right direction in securing a CL spot more often
