the problem is mate you've got people on here who haven't got a clue about the ethos of liverpool football club who will never have the opportunity of standing behind the goal cheering the reds on through thick and thin, and have no conception of the way it feels to be part of the daily life if this great club the most decorated in english club fooball history but then again that means nothing to them as long as they can come on here and criticise and moan with fans like them god help us (just wondering why english schools would teach american history)

You might not like what i'm going to say but here goes,
these people you are on about are glory fans only like the team when they are winning, not supporting the team through thick and thin. they only want to know when things are going good, just leave them to there own devices they'll be chelsea or city fans next season,a supporter supports, doesnt hound they have belief not regret, liverpool will come good SAF didnt do it in a season, give him a chance and thats from a united fan, lots on this thread already know this just the minority the fans not the supprters

while i respect your right to an opinion and certainly dont want to get into tit for tat posts they arent the only players to struggle in their first season at a new club

Ian Rush was used sporadically during his first season at the club{1980} as Liverpool had a policy of bringing in young talent and playing them in the reserves to learn 'the Liverpool way'. Rush was treated no differently and had to begin his time at the club as a squad member rather than being thrown into the first team.

This learning period was hard and not at all 'Rush-like', as the goals did not flow, almost leading to the eager youngster leaving Anfield in the search of regular first-team football. But after a talk with the very shrewd Paisley, who told him to "be more selfish in front of goal", Rush decided to stay and fight for a place.

Rush's first goal for the club took time to arrive, but it eventually came on 30 September 1981. whatever happened to him or would of if you got your way

Never mind last year mate if they don't win the League, which is looking unlikely then they will finish without a pot to piss in. We will have won more than them but we get Liverpool fans on here moaning and say we've wasted money We could win Two trophies and we're in Europe and yet people still whinge. If i was a City fan i would be highly pissed off at spending mega bucks and finishing empty handed. Oh BTW if Utd don't win the League they will have won ~~~~ all so all in all we're not looking too bad

I don't disagree with that but he's had six years here and he's a headless chicken. He will run until he drops but that's not good enough. He came as a striker and hasn't acted like one. He's had his time and the sooner he moves on the better.

yeah he got bought as a striker but how often he get used as one ? i for hopes he plays and scores in the final to prove you wrong !
